General Summary: As a Qualcomm Systems Engineer, you will research, design, develop, simulate, and/or validate systems-level software, hardware, architecture, algorithms, and solutions that enables the development of cutting-edge technology. Qualcomm Systems Engineers collaborate across functional teams to meet and exceed system-level requirements and standards. Job Overview: Qualcomm IE-IOT AI team is looking for hands on, passionate engineers for cutting edge AI deployment. Snapdragon chipset utilizes its powerful micro-processor, GPU, NPU and DSP to provide state-of-art platforms that enables advanced AI use cases. From state of art LLMs, to small CV based AI network or Robotic VLAs this group takes care of variety of AI model deployment and optimization. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.ORMaster's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.ORPhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience. Responsibilities: - Analysis and optimization of AI/ML models on various classes on Hexagon NPU - Development of AI inference frameworks and runtimes for Hexagon NPU and DSP architectures - Implementation and optimization of deep learning operators on SIMD/VLIW NPU or DSP architectures - Understand benefit/drawback of various quantization schemes, use internal tool chains to control loading, execution, and scheduling of various models - Perform system level analysis of concurrent ML model execution and daisy chaining ML models including Vision AI, Gen AI and VLA models - Good understanding and hands-on experience with AI Model Quantization, Graph Optimizations, Graph Transformations PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. - 6+ years Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience. - 3+ years Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience. - Masters in Imaging/Color Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering, and/or related field - Prior experience with high performance embedded programming preferred - Hands-on knowledge of TensorFlow, TFLite, Pytorch, ONNX - Proficiency in Machine Learning and Data Modeling, especially image/video related data - Proficiency in Natural Language Processing is a plus - Knowledge and experience of embedded systems with assembly/C/C++ programming - Good understanding of system on chip micro-architecture
