Sr Lead Design - MEP (FPS) Engineering Manager -- MEP (FPS) Job Function EDRC Role Engineering Manager -- MEP (FPS) Sub Job Family Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) Band Tier 1 SECTION II: ROLE SUMMARY (Purpose of the Role) To develop Fire Protection System (FPS) design activities ensuring compliance with life safety codes, reliability standards, and performance requirements through effective design coordination and review. SECTION III: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ ACCOUNTABILITIES Develop FPS design layouts, hydraulic calculations, and system specifications. Ensure compliance with NFPA, NBC, IS, and TAC standards. Review sprinkler layouts, hydrant networks, and pump room design. Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure integrated design solutions. Conduct value engineering for cost optimization. Knowledge in Super high rise building design Expertise in local CFO norms. Provide design support during site execution and commissioning SECTION IV: KEY INTERACTIONS Internal Stakeholder Purpose of Interaction MEP and QA/QC Teams \| To align design quality and safety compliance Procurement and Planning Teams \| Material and specification coordination External Stakeholder Purpose of Interaction Clients and Consultants \| Design approval and compliance review Vendors and Integrators \| Technical alignment and interface coordination SECTION V: KNOWLEDGE \& EXPERIENCE KNOWLEDGE Minimum Qualifications B.E./ME in Mechanical/Electrical/Building Services Engineering Language Skills Proficient in English and local language for on-site coordination EXPERIENCE Years of Experience 8--15 years Nature of Ex. Proven design and coordination experience in FPS for large buildings, industrial, or infrastructure projects. SECTION VI: TECHNICAL \& LEADERSHIP / BEHAVIORAL SKILLS REQUIRED TO EXECUTE THE ROLE SKILLS Technical Skills Proficiency in FPS codes and hydraulic design principles Understanding of pumps, sprinklers, and testing procedure Leadership / Behavioural Skills Execution Planning and Problem Solving; Communication and Collaboration
