Job Description - -------------- **Roles \& Responsibilities:** The **Engineering Product Quality (EPQ)** role is responsible for partnering with engineering teams to ensure product and service quality throughout the development lifecycle. The position combines traditional **Quality Assurance (QA)** responsibilities with a strong focus on **AI-driven digitalization, agent development, and prompt engineering**. **1.** **Project Quality Governance** * Plan, monitor, and report preventive quality assurance activities. * Moderate Quality Gates (QGs). * Conduct QA activities aligned with organizational processes. * Provide early risk identification, escalation, and stakeholder management. * Lead project quality topics and drive AI-enabled digitalization of EPQ activities. **2. Project Team Coaching** * Prepare project teams for quality gates, milestones, releases, and assessments. * Coach teams on processes, methods, tools, and standards. * Promote engineering excellence practices such as clean design, clean coding, technical debt management, and CX implementation. * Contribute to engineering discussions and key decisions. **3. Value-Added Quality Activities** * Identify and mitigate product/service quality risks. * Analyze defect patterns, field issues, and vulnerabilities using data-driven approaches. * Participate in Design FMEA activities. * Facilitate lessons learned and best-practice sharing. * Conduct independent quality reviews of engineering deliverables and impact assessments. **4. Strategic Project Involvement** * Support quality assurance during acquisition phases. * Release preventive quality assurance plans. * Act as a review partner in defining and aligning engineering strategies. **5. Innovation and Continuous Improvement** * Drive cycle-time reduction and release predictability improvements. * Improve data quality and enable data-driven decision making. * Analyze TRC and MRC patterns to strengthen Quality Improvement Plans (QIP). * Help projects tailor processes to business needs. Qualifications - ------------- **++Educational qualification:++** * B.E./B.Tech in Electronics \& Communication, Electrical \& Electronics, Computer Science, or related fields. **++Experience:++** * 4--7 years of software development and/or testing experience.( 2 -3 years of Quality assurance and process consultancy support preferred) * Strong experience in software development processes. * Ability to assess software quality metrics and manage technical debt. * Experience with AI/GenAI applications in QA activities. * Background in automotive/software quality standards, Agile practices, and embedded software projects. **++Mandatory/requires Skills:++** * Software Quality Assurance * ASPICE, ISO 9001 and CMMI * Quality methods (CAR, 8D, FMEA) * Quality Gate moderation * Prompt Engineering and Agentic Flows * Strong communication, stakeholder management, and customer focus **++Preferred Skills:++** * Knowledge on AI and ML technologies * Knowledge Scripting / statistical Analysis Additional Information - --------------------- * Ability to independently drive quality initiatives across cross-functional programs. * Strong strategic mindset with an innovative approach to quality improvement.
