**job description:** We are looking for an experienced ETL Testing Engineer with strong Expertise in ETL Testing **Roles & Responsibilities:** 1. **Requirement Analysis**: Collaborate with business analysts and data engineers to understand ETL requirements, data sources, transformation rules, and business rules 2. **Test Planning**: Develop comprehensive ETL test plans that outline the testing strategy, scope, objectives, and resources needed for effective testing 3. **Test Case Development**: Create detailed test scenarios and test cases that cover various aspects of the ETL process, including data extraction, transformation rules, data loading, error handling, and data quality checks 4. **Data Validation**: Validate that data is correctly extracted from various sources, transformed according to business rules, and loaded into data warehouses or databases. This includes performing regular data quality inspections 5. **Execution of Tests**: Execute test cases to validate the functionality and accuracy of the ETL processes. This involves running test scripts, monitoring data flows, and verifying that data transformations align with business requirements 6. **Error Handling**: Evaluate the ETL system's ability to handle errors and exceptions gracefully. Test how the system responds to unexpected data and transformation failures 7. **Regression Testing**: Perform regression testing to ensure that changes or updates to the ETL processes do not introduce new issues or adversely impact existing functionality 8. **Documentation and Reporting**: Document defects, report on testing progress, and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues.
