**Role & responsibilities** : - **Validating Data**: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of source data, applying transformation logic, and loading data into target tables - **Testing**: Perform both manual and automated testing of ETL processes, ensuring that data flows correctly through the system . - **Designing Test Strategies**: Develop and execute test strategies that validate both functional and non-functional requirements of data pipelines - **Collaboration**: Work closely with data engineering teams to ensure a sustainable testing approach and troubleshoot any issues that arise These responsibilities require strong technical skills and knowledge of ETL tools and processes **Preferred** **candidate** **profile:** The preferred candidate profile for an ETL Test Engineer typically includes: - **Bachelor's** **degree** in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - **Experience** with ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, or SSIS. - **Proficiency** in SQL and database management. - **Strong** **analytical** **and** **problem-solving** **skills**. - **Attention** **to** **detail** with a focus on data accuracy. - **Excellent** **written** **and** **verbal** **communication** **skills**. - **Experience** with UNIX shell scripting and advanced Informatica concepts. - **Desired** **skills** include CSTE, ISTQB certifications. - **Desired** **experience** includes relevant degrees and certifications.
