**Job Description:** Senior Test Engineer-ETL Testing with SQL and Python Exp: 6+yrs Location: Chennai Shift: Timing/rotation :1.00 PM-10.00 PM Your future duties and responsibilities • ETL Testing: Validate data transformations, data quality, and data integrity throughout the ETL pipelines. • SQL Expertise: Write complex SQL queries to verify data correctness and perform thorough back-end testing of databases. • Python: Good Working experience in scripting languages • Test Planning & Execution: Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test reports. Perform both functional and non-functional testing. • Defect Tracking: Identify, log, and track defects in collaboration with development teams to ensure timely resolution. • Collaboration: Work closely with developers, data engineers, and product owners to understand requirements and improve overall product quality. • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest testing tools, methodologies, and best practices to enhance the automation testing framework. Required qualifications to be successful in this role • Experience: 4+ years of experience in automation testing with a focus on ETL, data warehousing, or big data environments. • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in SQL for complex queries and database testing. Hands-on experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, etc.). Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as Jenkins, Git, Docker, etc. • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in identifying issues and ensuring data accuracy. • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work effectively within a team and with stakeholders. • Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus. Good to have: • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. • Knowledge of big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or similar. • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests.
