Job Description Key responsibilities • Execution of Routine / Preventive / Breakdown maintenance of port equipment. • Routine inspections on equipments and corrective actions thereafter. • Attend to breakdowns and fault diagnosis and correction on equipments. • Reporting of jobs after completion. • Undertake any specific task / responsibility assigned by Sr. Executives/Asst Manager/Manager • Assist the Asst Manager/Sr. Executives in managing the shift when required. • Ensure that the company health, safety & environment policy and procedures are observed. • Report on any unsafe conditions in the Terminal or area of work. • Contribute to the continuous improvement process and to the meeting of relevant objectives and targets. • Observe the provisions of IGT’s management system. • House keeping in work place/Equipment • In the absence of Asst Manager/Sr. Executive, take the responsibility of Asst Manager/Sr. Executive when informed by higher authorities • Ensure, recording of the jobs, manpower and equipment status in the shift logbook. Verify job reports submitted by the shift staff • Ensure compliance and implement: • OH&S Rules and Regulations. • Hazard and Risk Management • Accident Reports • IGT’s Standard Operating Procedures. • Work permits Qualifications & Competencies • BE/B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with relevant experience. • In case of BE/B.Tech, at least 3 years relevant experience in heavy lift equipments / container handling equipments, in case of Diploma holders, at least 5 years of relevant experience.
