Position: EXIM Logistics Manager Designation: Manager Job Location: Hyderabad Experience: 08 to 10 Years Value Stream: Logistics/Exim (Exp in Manufacturing Industry/Aerospace & Defence) Educational Qualification: MBA, PG Diploma in Logistics, foreign Trade, Import/Export & International Business Role Summary The Exim and Logistics Manager (Aerospace & UAV Industry) is responsible for managing all international and domestic logistics operations related to aerospace components, UAV systems, and related technologies. The role ensures compliance with global trade regulations, export/Import control laws, and defense sector standards while optimizing logistics efficiency, cost, and reliability. Job Responsibility: - Manage end-to-end export and import documentation for aerospace and UAV components, including LC, BL, Invoice, Packing List, COO, ATA Carnet, and Bill of Entry. • Ensure compliance with DGFT, Customs, RBI, FEMA, and defense trade control regulations (DGCA, MOCA, DDP, DoT). • Oversee import of critical UAV parts, sensors, avionics, and aerospace-grade materials under applicable HS codes. • Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and government agencies for timely clearance and delivery. • Prepare and maintain export control and dual-use item documentation as per ITAR, EAR, and Indian defense trade norms. • Monitor duty exemption schemes, EPCG, MEIS/RODTEP, and offset-related obligations. • Manage transportation of hazardous and sensitive materials in compliance with IATA and DGCA guidelines. • Develop strategies to minimize logistics costs, optimize shipment consolidation, and ensure timely project deliveries. • Liaise with internal teams (Production, QA, Engineering, Project Management) for dispatch and delivery scheduling. • Evaluate and negotiate contracts with logistics partners and freight forwarders to ensure service quality and compliance. Plan and manage logistics for UAV systems, payloads, and aerospace assemblies for domestic and international clients. Maintain strong understanding of export/ Import control laws (ITAR, EAR, SCOMET) and ensure 100% compliance. • Oversee audit readiness for defense and aerospace trade documentation. • Ensure secure storage, handling, and shipment of controlled technologies and UAV Components. • Maintain documentation integrity for import/export licenses and authorizations. Manage relationships with freight forwarders, CHAs, suppliers, and aerospace logistics providers. • Build and mentor a skilled logistics and EXIM team specialized in aerospace and UAV product handling. • Evaluate vendor performance on cost, delivery, and compliance metrics. - Prepare and present weekly/monthly MIS reports covering shipment status, logistics KPIs, and customs clearance cycles. • Track logistics cost trends, export incentive claims, and import compliance metrics. • Provide strategic insights for supply chain risk management and logistics optimization Skills & Proficiency Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Business, or Aerospace Engineering. • MBA / PG Diploma in Logistics, Foreign Trade, or Operations preferred. • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in EXIM and logistics; at least 3 years in aerospace, UAV, or defense sector. • Sound knowledge of INCOTERMS, customs procedures, and international trade compliance. • Familiarity with ITAR, EAR, and Indian SCOMET regulations mandatory. • Experience in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally) and advanced Excel reporting. • Strong negotiation, leadership, and problem-solving skills.On-time delivery rate for imports and exports • Logistics cost reduction and optimization • Compliance adherence (customs, export control, ITAR/SCOMET) • Reduction in demurrage and detention costs • Timely export incentive realization • Supply chain resilience and efficiency improvement
