**Role & responsibilities** We are seeking a high-energy, detail-oriented **Lead Expeditor** to join our manufacturing team. In this critical role, you will be the "pulse" of our production floor, ensuring that every part, material, and piece of data is exactly where it needs to be to meet our delivery promises. You will lead a small team of expeditors, troubleshoot complex supply chain bottlenecks, and act as the primary liaison between our vendors and production management. **What You will Do-** - **Drive the Schedule:** Monitor production workflows to identify potential delays before they happen and implement immediate recovery plans. - **Lead the Team:** Supervise and mentor junior expeditors, setting clear priorities and providing guidance on vendor management and internal logistics. - **Supplier Relations:** Maintain constant contact with external vendors to track fabrication progress and expedite critical shipments. - **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Partner with Engineering, Procurement, and Quality teams to resolve material shortages or technical documentation hurdles. - **Data Reporting:** Maintain real-time accuracy in our ERP system and provide weekly status reports on KPIs like On-Time Delivery (OTD) and material readiness. - **Problem Solve:** Proactively resolve discrepancies in shipping, invoicing, or material specifications to keep the line moving.
