This role focuses on designing, developing, and validating factory and production line simulation models to optimize material flow, equipment utilization, and throughput. The engineer collaborates with manufacturing, industrial engineering, and operations teams to analyze current processes, collect data, and propose improvements based on simulation outcomes. Daily responsibilities include building and maintaining digital models of factories and lines, running “what-if” scenarios, preparing reports and dashboards, and presenting recommendations to stakeholders. The role also involves supporting implementation of approved changes, documenting standards and best practices, and ensuring alignment with broader digital manufacturing and Industry 4.0 initiatives. **Qualifications** - Candidates should possess strong factory flow and production engineering skills, including experience with layout design, line balancing, material handling, and capacity planning. - Candidates should possess simulation and modeling skills, such as discrete event simulation, digital factory tools, and familiarity with common simulation software used in manufacturing environments. - Candidates should possess data analysis and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret operational data, perform root cause analysis, and translate insights into actionable process improvements. - Candidates should possess collaboration and communication skills, including working effectively with cross-functional teams, documenting technical work clearly, and presenting findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Candidates should possess proficiency in relevant engineering or technical disciplines, typically supported by a bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, manufacturing, or related engineering field. - Candidates should possess familiarity with digital manufacturing and Industry 4.0 concepts, lean manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement methodologies; prior experience in automotive or heavy manufacturing is beneficial. - Candidates should possess the ability to work on-site in Pune City, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and adapt to a fast-paced, globally collaborative environment.
