Job Description: Job Purpose The Factory Head leads the Royal Canin India Packing Centre, ensuring safe, efficient, and agile operations whilesupporting the business' growth ambitions.The role is responsible for scaling operations from single-shift to multi-shift manufacturing, building organizationalcapability, delivering operational excellence through Mars Supply Excellence (MSE), and enabling future-readyoperations through digital tools, data-driven decision making, and continuous improvement.As a member of the RGM Value Chain Operations Leadership Team (VCOLT), the Factory Head contributes to regionalstrategy while ensuring strong local execution through effective collaboration with India, regional, and globalstakeholders. Key Responsibilities 1. Operational Performance & Scale-Up• Lead the transition to multi-shift operations while maintaining the highest standards of Safety, Quality,Service, and Cost.2. People & Organization Leadership• Build and develop a high-performing Factory Leadership Team across Production, Q&FS, HSE, Maintenance,and MSE.3. Mars Supply Excellence, Digital & Continuous Improvement• Lead deployment and sustainment of Mars Supply Excellence (MSE) as the site's operating system.• Drive standard work, loss elimination, performance management, and continuous improvement.• Utilize digital tools, real-time data, and analytics to support decision making and operational performance.• Accelerate digital adoption, automation, and efficient ways of working across the factory. 4. Market Agility & Integrated Planning•Ensure operational readiness to support evolving market needs, including Q-Commerce growth, SKU complexity, and smaller pack formats.•Act as site owner for S&OP+ processes, including TLT and Factory SMR.•Partner with Supply Chain, Commercial, and Planning teams to align capacity, service, inventory, and demand requirements.•Support innovation deployment, product trials, packaging changes, and new format introductions in collaboration with regional and global teams.5. Strategy Execution & Network Collaboration•Translate regional and global strategies into actionable site plans.•Represent the India Packing Centre within regional and global manufacturing forums.6. Safety, Compliance & Asset Management•Champion a zero-harm safety culture and ensure full compliance with Mars, regulatory, and Quality & Food Safety requirements.•Deliver factory performance within CAPEX and OPEX targets.•Optimize asset utilization and investment decisions to support growth, efficiency, and capability enhancement. •Reports to: India Supply Chain Director•Leads: Production, Q&FS, HSE, Maintenance, and MSE•Member of RGM VCOLT•Accountable for site performance across Safety, Quality, Service, Cost, Sustainability, and People•Responsible for factory CAPEX and OPEX Education & Professional Qualifications•Engineering degree required; MBA preferred.•8–12 years of manufacturing and supply chain experience.•Strong experience in FMCG, Food, Pet Food, or related industries.
