Job description

- Job Description: Manage end-to-end rate, rule, and form filing activities for P&C insurance products. - Prepare and submit filings across multiple states/jurisdictions. - Ensure compliance with state insurance regulations and filing requirements. - Coordinate with actuarial, underwriting, legal, compliance, and product teams. - Track filing approvals, objections, and implementation timelines. - Support product launches, pricing updates, and policy form changes. - Provide support for audit-related activities, as required. - Conduct independent research, analyze data, and present insights effectively for assigned projects. - Expected to work in close collaboration with the EXL team and clients on general insurance actuarial projects for US markets. Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships to achieve project and organizational objectives - Responsibilities: Prepare and submit filings through SERFF and state DOI portals. - Manage rate, rule, form, endorsement, and underwriting manual filings. - Ensure compliance with state insurance regulations and filing requirements. - Coordinate with actuarial, underwriting, legal, compliance, and product teams. - Track filing approvals, objections, and implementation timelines. - Review filing documents for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance. - Handle regulator objections, interrogatories, and follow-up requests. - Maintain filing trackers, approval records, and implementation documentation. - Monitor state regulatory changes, bulletins, and compliance updates. - Ensure approved filings are implemented accurately in systems and operations. - Support audits, compliance reviews, and market conduct examinations. - Maintain filing calendars and ensure timely submissions. - Support process improvements and filing workflow automation initiatives. - Conduct research and provide guidance on state-specific filing strategies using multiple sources, including regulations, SERFF guidelines, historical objections and responses, and competitor filings. - Monitor project tasks and timelines, assess risks, and provide actionable recommendations while coordinating effective solutions. - Prepare and deliver presentations to senior management, as required. - Provide subject matter expertise to support key initiatives across cross-functional teams. - Ensure filings comply with state-specific regulatory requirements and DOI. - Submit filings through SERFF or state-specific portal as required. - Qualifications: Bachelor’s/master’s degree in engineering, economics, mathematics, finance, or similar technical degree. Master’s in business or financial management is also suitable. - 2-5 years of experience in Finance or Insurance related regulatory reporting. - Hands-on experience with SERFF filings - Strong knowledge of state DOI regulations and filing requirements. - Experience with Personal Lines and/or Commercial Lines products - Understanding of rate/rule/form filing processes and insurance product lifecycle - Familiarity with ISO/NCCI circulars and bureau filings preferred. - Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills - High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple filings simultaneously. - Proficiency in Excel and filing/document management tools - CPCU/AINS/API certifications preferred. - Proficiency in Excel, VBA, JIRA. Good to have Python and Power BI knowledge. - Strong ability to learn technical and business knowledge. - Superior analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to details - Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. - Excellent time and work management skills. - Able to work at a fast pace continuously evolving environment and ready to take up uphill challenges. - Able to understand cross cultural differences and can work with clients across the globe.
