**Finance Analyst –Financial Planning & Data Analytics:** Gartner is looking for a well-rounded Financial Analyst who can provide critical business partner support to our services business units. The candidate will be responsible for supporting Executive and Operating Committee Finance and Global Services & Delivery Business members with data insights, budgets, and forecasts and other ad-hoc analyses. **What you will do:** - Assist Finance and Service Delivery leadership in building key finance analytics and forecast components such as Utilization, Cost of Service etc. by various dimensions, etc. - Automate reporting leveraging tools such as Power BI/SQL/Python for KPI reporting. - Data collation, interpretation, and analysis: Ability to bring out meaningful insights by collating different data insights. - Identify opportunities to streamline data/internal financial processes, automate data extraction and develop new metrics. - Provide ad hoc modelling and analytical insights to the business and help in strategic and operational initiatives. - Partner with the leaders to convert “top-down” business initiative/objectives/ requirements into actionable data analytics projects as well as conceiving and proposing “bottom-up” analytics innovations. - Engage in cross-team collaboration and address ad hoc requests from multiple business units, and with individuals with varying levels of analytical experience within those business units. - Collaborate with executive leaders and their leadership teams to ensure all reporting and analytics are performed in an accurate and timely manner. - Independently identify issues in methods and frameworks/models and suggest solutions. - Develop and/or enhance long-term financial plans, budgets, forecasts and other financial and operational analyses for the business and our service delivery stakeholders. **What you will need:** - 3+ in core analytics, with bachelor’s in computer science, Engineering, Analytics or Statistics, Finance - masters preferred. - Advanced knowledge of Power BI – Dax, power query, advanced data modelling, query folding, Databricks etc. - Advance knowledge of SQL to pull and clean data. - Knowledge of Python is a plus. - Ability to extrapolate linkages between large amounts of financial and operational data - Expertise in Microsoft Office suite – Excel, Power Point, Think Cell, Outlook, etc. - Demonstrate high ownership and accountability and ability to influence senior stakeholders - Critical Thinking & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills and the ability to think and work independently and within a team structure to consistently deliver flawless work solutions within aggressive (and changing) time constraints. - Effective communication, presentation and influencing skills in a matrixed organization. - Highly organized and able to handle simultaneous projects, gathering and processing data from multiple sources. **Who you are:** - Motivated, high-potential performer, with demonstrated ability to influence and lead. - Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills. - Able to solve complex problems and successfully manage ambiguity and unexpected change. - Teachable and embracing of best practices and feedback as a means of continuous improvement. - Consistently high achiever marked by perseverance, humility, and a positive outlook in the face of ambiguity. **What makes Gartner a GREAT fit for you?** When you join Gartner, you’ll be part of a fast-growing team that helps the world become smarter and more connected.
