**Role Overview** We are looking for an experienced Financial Reporting Manager to take ownership of the financial reporting and month-end close process across group entities. This is a hands-on individual contributor role requiring strong technical accounting expertise, audit management capabilities, and a strong focus on internal controls and financial governance. The role will work closely with Service Lines, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Compliance, and senior leadership to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting. Key Responsibilities **Financial Reporting & Month-End Close** - Own and drive the monthly financial reporting and close process across group entities. - Ensure timely and accurate closure of monthly books within defined timelines. - Review trial balances, general ledger accounts, and supporting schedules. - Review and ensure accurate accounting of provisions, accruals, prepayments, depreciation, amortization, and other month-end entries. - Perform detailed variance analysis of actuals versus budget, forecast, and prior periods, and highlight key business drivers to management. - Ensure completeness and accuracy of financial data across entities. **Financial Statements & Accounting Compliance** - Prepare and review annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards, including Ind AS / Local GAAP. - Ensure appropriate accounting treatment for complex transactions and financial reporting matters. - Provide accurate financial information, schedules, and supporting documentation for regulatory and statutory filings. - Partner with the Compliance and Secretarial teams to ensure timely and accurate regulatory reporting. **Statutory & Internal Audit Management** - Lead and manage statutory audits across group entities. - Coordinate and support internal audits, including preparation of audit schedules, reconciliations, supporting documents, and deliverables. - Act as the key point of contact between auditors and internal stakeholders. - Manage audit timelines and ensure timely closure of audit observations and queries. - Proactively identify and resolve audit issues with minimal escalation. **Internal Financial Controls & Governance** - Execute and monitor Internal Financial Controls over Financial Reporting (IFCR/IFC) within the reporting function. - Ensure appropriate documentation and testing of key financial controls. - Identify control gaps and drive timely remediation. - Strengthen financial governance and control frameworks across entities. - Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and reporting requirements. **Lease Accounting & Fixed Assets** - Manage lease accounting, including maintenance of lease trackers and periodic accounting entries. - Ensure appropriate accounting and reporting under Ind AS 116, where applicable. - Oversee fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and reconciliation. - Ensure accuracy and completeness of fixed asset registers and related schedules. **Balance Sheet & Month-End Governance** - Ensure all balance sheet schedules are prepared, reviewed, and reconciled on a monthly basis. - Maintain strong controls over provisions and expense recognition. - Ensure appropriate cut-off procedures and completeness of expense recognition. - Investigate and resolve long-outstanding reconciling items and unusual balances. - Drive high standards of accuracy and financial discipline across the reporting process. **Stakeholder Management** - Collaborate closely with Service Lines, FP&A, AP, AR, Tax, Treasury, Compliance, and other cross-functional teams. - Provide management with relevant financial information, analysis, and insights. - Partner with stakeholders to resolve accounting, reporting, and close-related issues. - Build strong working relationships with senior stakeholders and external auditors. **Process Improvement & Systems** - Identify opportunities to improve and standardize financial reporting and close processes. - Drive standardization of reconciliations, reporting schedules, and management reporting formats. - Identify opportunities to strengthen controls and improve process efficiency. - Support enhanced utilization and optimization of ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, or Oracle. - Drive process improvements, automation, and reporting efficiencies wherever relevant. **Qualifications & Experience** - Chartered Accountant (CA) Mandatory. - 5+ years of post-qualification experience in financial reporting, accounting, controllership, or related finance functions. - Strong hands-on experience in: - Financial reporting and financial statements - Month-end and year-end close - Statutory and internal audits - Balance sheet reconciliations - Internal financial controls - Technical accounting - Experience managing reporting across multiple entities will be preferred. - Experience in professional services, consulting, Big 4, or similar environments will be an advantage. - Working knowledge of ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, or Oracle.
