**Senior FinOps Platform Engineer** The Senior FinOps Platform Engineer plays a critical role in driving cloud financial accountability, cost transparency, and operational efficiency across multi-cloud environments. With **5+ years of experience** in cloud financial operations, this role supports end-to-end FinOps deliveryspanning budgeting, forecasting, cost allocation, optimization strategies, and data-driven decision support. The engineer partners closely with Finance, Cloud Platform, and Product teams to operationalize FinOps practices and enable sustainable, cost-efficient cloud growth. **Key Responsibilities** **Cloud Financial Management & Analysis** Analyze and interpret large, complex cloud cost datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and optimization opportunities. Conduct detailed variance analysis, usage reviews, and monthly financial deep dives. Define and maintain **FinOps KPIs**, success metrics, dashboards, and scorecards. **Budgeting, Forecasting & Reporting** Assist in cloud budgeting and quarterly forecasting cycles across business units. Monitor spend against budgets and provide regular, actionable reporting to engineering and leadership teams. Partner with Finance on chargeback/showback processes, optimization accruals, and financial modeling. **Cost Optimization & Governance** Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities across AWS, Azure, and OCIright sizing, purchasing commitments (SP/RIs), storage optimization, and workload efficiency. Collaborate with engineering teams to apply cost allocation, tagging standards, and governance policies. Drive adoption of optimization tools such as Turbonomic, ParkMyCloud, Cloudability, or native cloud cost platforms. Work with product and platform teams to embed cost awareness into architectural and operational decision-making. **FinOps Enablement & Stakeholder Collaboration** Partner with Finance, Cloud Ops, and Product Owners to operationalize FinOps practices across business units. Lead cross-functional discussions on cloud spend, architectural efficiency, and optimization recommendations. Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate teams on cloud cost optimization best practices. Document FinOps processes, playbooks, and financial operating procedures. **Core Skills & Technical Expertise** **Financial & Data Analysis** Strong analytical skills with expertise in interpreting cost/usage data. Proficiency with Excel, SQL, Power BI, or similar analytics tools. Experience modeling cost forecasts, budgets, and financial scenarios. **Cloud Cost Management Tools** Hands-on experience with tools such as: **Cloudability, CloudHealth, ParkMyCloud, Turbonomic, ProsperOps, AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, OCI Cost Analysis.** **Cloud Platforms & Architecture** Solid understanding of AWS, Azure, and/or OCI services, pricing, and cost drivers. Experience partnering with engineering teams to implement cost controls like tagging, resource hygiene, RI/SP strategies, and auto-scaling. **Governance & Chargeback** Familiarity with cloud tagging strategies, cost allocation models, and governance frameworks. Experience collaborating with Finance on showback/chargeback mechanisms. **Communication & Leadership** Excellent communication skills for presenting financial insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to influence teams and advocate for cost-conscious engineering practices. **Note : Although the role category is indicated as on site with Felxibility, the position is Hybrid in nature and requires 23 days of working from office each week.**
