Job description: Flexera SAM Consultant ELP Manual creation mandatory The  L2 SAM Consultant  oversees day-to-day operational support of the SAM functions. You will bridge the gap between L1 end-user support and L3 expert/vendor escalation. Your primary goals are optimizing software license usage, preventing license non-compliance, and minimizing software spend across on-premises, SaaS, and cloud environments (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) Key Responsibilities • Manage enterprise software licenses (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, Adobe, SaaS platforms). • Reconcile discovered software deployments with actual entitlements and license agreements. • Identify and remediate over-allocation, unauthorized installations, or under-licensed software to avoid audit penalties. • Analyze software usage data to identify opportunities for license harvesting, recycling, or optimization (e.g., co-term agreements). • Assist IT procurement and vendor managers in tracking contracts, renewals, and software retirements. • Generate periodic compliance / ELP reports, trending, and performance reports to present to IT leadership. • Ensure adherence to SAM governance frameworks best practices. • Experience:  3 to 6+ years of proven experience in Software asset management and software licensing. • Licensing Knowledge:  Strong understanding of complex software licensing models (Perpetual, Subscription, SaaS, and Cloud/Consumption-based). • Technical Skills: • Hands-on experience working with SAM tools of Snow and Flexera One. • Advanced proficiency in Excel or data analytics tools. • Soft Skills:  Excellent analytical mindset, strict attention to detail, and top-tier communication skills for stakeholder management. Preferred Certifications • ITIL 4 Foundation Qualification • Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM)
