**POSITION OVERVIEW** Java Full‑Stack Engineer will join the ULI Squad of the IT IAM Tribe (Insurance Asset Management) within BNP Paribas Cardif. The squad is responsible for the operation, maintenance and evolution of critical asset‑management applications built on Starcust and in‑house solutions (e.g., Matiass). The role combines 24/7 Run activities (morning‑check verification, incident management, production support) with Change activities (development, bug‑fixes, release support) to ensure high availability and mitigate financial risk. **JOB RESPONSIBILITIES** - Design, develop, test and maintain Java, Spring (Boot, Batch), Angular, SQL code, Control‑M jobs and KSH scripts. - Estimate effort, costs and timelines for development tasks. - Create and update production and technical documentation. - Prepare test environments and support functional, integration and non‑regression testing. - Attend sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, reviews and retrospectives. - Estimate tasks, commit to sprint goals and collaborate with squad members. - Analyze functional requirements, propose technical solutions and identify non‑functional constraints. - Flag obsolete or weak code and suggest refactoring where appropriate. - Perform daily morning‑check procedures and publish the results on a rotating shift. - Investigate, diagnose and resolve technical incidents in production. - Implement bug‑fixes and remediate security vulnerabilities. - Support deployment of Starcust vendor releases and execute deployment plans (on‑call, night/weekend work 1‑2 times per month). - Propose improvement actions for recurring incidents and contribute to extreme‑event exercise preparation. - Provide first‑line assistance to end‑users on technical issues. **REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE (MUST‑HAVE)** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience). - Minimum 5 years of professional experience in software development and operations. - Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Framework (Boot, Batch), Angular, KSH and Oracle SQL - Deep understanding of object‑oriented programming, micro‑services architecture and RESTful APIs. - Experience with automated testing tools such as JUnit, Selenium, Gherkin/Cucumber. - Working knowledge of ITIL concepts and ServiceNow for incident, problem and change management. - Proficiency with DevOps tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Argo CD, XL Release. - Expertise in Oracle databases (including Exadata/ExaCC) and performance tuning. - Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) and configuration management (Ansible). - Experience with scheduling/workload automation (Control‑M) and monitoring/alerting (Dynatrace). - Knowledge of security protocols (SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0) and file‑transfer protocols (CFT). **PREFERRED EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE (NICE‑TO‑HAVE)** - Prior experience in the asset‑management domain or with the Starcust product suite. - Exposure to quality‑lifecycle management platforms (e.g., ALM Octane). - Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes‑based platforms such as OpenShift. - Certification in ITIL, Scrum/Agile or relevant cloud/DevOps technologies. - Experience working in a 24 × 7 global delivery environment, preferably within the financial services industry. **About BNP Paribas India Solutions** BNP Paribas India Solutions, a wholly‑owned subsidiary of BNP Paribas SA, operates 24 × 7 delivery centers in Bengaluru, Chennai and Mumbai.
