GCP Database Engineer

Job description

**Role : GCP Database** **Experience : 4-8 years** **Location : Chennai/Ahmedabad** **Experience:** 3+ years of IT experience with a strong focus on the diagnosis, troubleshooting, and administration of cloud-based database systems **Technologies: GCP Relational:** Cloud SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server), Cloud Spanner (multi-region / global scaling), AlloyDB for PostgreSQL GCP NoSQL/In-Memory: Cloud Bigtable (with app profiles), Firestore, Memorystore (Redis/Memcached) Legacy Enterprise: Bare Metal Solution (BMS) for Oracle Migration/CDC: Google Cloud Database Migration Service (DMS), Datastream **Must Have:** Excellent communication and customer-handling skills, Deep DBA expertise (High Availability/HA, Disaster Recovery/DR, PITR backup, and restore) Hands-on performance tuning (analyzing query execution plans, identifying locks, bottlenecks, and database resource contention) .Familiarity with GCP Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring, and setting up precise alerting policies for CPU/Memory utilization and database replication lag **Certification:** Google Cloud Professional Cloud Database Engineer (Highly Preferred) or Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer (ACE)
