Job description

- Basic understanding of GIS concepts, spatial data, and mapping principles - Exposure to at least one GIS platform such as: - ESRI ArcGIS o Octave / Hexagon / Intergraph o GE Smallworld o QGIS - Programming fundamentals with Python or any scripting language - Basic knowledge of databases (SQL / Oracle / PostgreSQL / spatial DB concepts) - Basics of cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP) - Basics of software development methodology - Basics of using AI/Agentic AI - Good Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills - Good in communication - Ability to work with geographically spread teams - Carry out design, development, and implementation of GIS applications across desktop, web, and enterprise environments - Work with leading GIS platforms (e.g., ESRI ArcGIS suite, Hexagon, GE Smallworld, AutoCAD Map3D) to configure and develop geospatial solutions - Assist in spatial data management, data modelling, and data quality improvement initiatives - Develop scripts and automation workflows using Python (e.g., ArcPy or equivalent) - Participate in integration of GIS systems with enterprise applications (e.g., asset management, ERP systems) - Support development of maps, dashboards, and spatial analytics solutions - Contribute to GIS application testing, troubleshooting, and performance tuning - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into GIS solutions - B.E. / B.Tech / M.Tech / M.Sc in: - Geoinformatics / GIS / Remote Sensing - Computer Science with GIS exposure - Spatial Data Science / Geospatial Analytics - Strong academic record from reputed institutes - 6 to 12 months Internship/project experience in GIS - Hands-on experience in ArcGIS Pro / ArcMap / ArcGIS Enterprise / QGIS/ GE Smallworld - Familiarity with spatial ETL tools (e.g., FME) or data processing workflows - Exposure to web GIS or application development (JavaScript / APIs) - Knowledge of utility (water, electric, telecom) /Energy domain
