## **Job Description:** - Join a quality engineering team where your work directly improves the reliability and accuracy of GIS driven products and platforms - In this role you will lead testing and validation efforts that ensure spatial data map services and GIS workflows perform consistently across environments and releases - You ll collaborate closely with engineering product and data teams to translate requirements into robust test strategies uncover issues early and drive measurable quality outcomes - If you enjoy combining structured QA practices with the unique challenges of geospatial systems coordinate integrity layer rendering spatial queries and data validation this is a great opportunity to make an impact - You ll help shape quality standards mentor team members and build confidence in every delivery through clear reporting strong ownership and continuous improvement ## **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop update and maintain accurate geospatial datasets and maps - Perform spatial analysis to support business and project requirements - Ensure data quality consistency and compliance with defined GIS standards - Collaborate with business engineering and project teams to understand GIS needs - Adhere to project timelines SLAs and documentation standards - Participate in reviews audits and continuous improvement initiatives - Strong analytical and problem solving mindset - High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy - Ability to work independently as well as part of a team - Adaptability to changing requirements and priorities - Ownership accountability and proactive attitude - Willingness to learn new GIS technologies and best practices - Ability to clearly explain GIS concepts and analysis to non technical stakeholders - Effective written communication for reports documentation and process guides - Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills - Confident in participating in meetings discussions and knowledge sharing sessions - Ability to raise risks issues and dependencies in a timely and professional manner ## **Technical Requirements:** - Proficiency in GIS tools such as ArcGIS QGIS Smallworld or equivalent platforms - Strong understanding of spatial data models projections coordinate systems and geodatabases - Experience with spatial analysis geoprocessing and map creation - Knowledge of SQL and working with spatial databases PostGIS Oracle Spatial SQL Server - Ability to work with multiple data formats shapefiles raster CAD GPS data GeoJSON ## **Additional Responsibilities:** - Good to have skills - SQL API Testing Test Automation CI CD Spatial Databases ## **Preferred Skills:** Domain->Energy Oil & Gas - Upstream->GIS->GIS Tools MapInfo Professional,Foundational->Quality Engineering->Verification & Validation
