**Core Responsibilities** **1. Financial Management & Controls** - Oversee the preparation and finalization of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards (IndAS / IFRS / Local GAAP). - Monitor cash flow, optimize working capital cycles, and manage fund allocation across various engineering projects. - Implement and strengthen rigorous internal financial controls (IFC) and standard operating procedures (SOPs). **2. Taxation & Statutory Compliance** - Ensure 100% accurate and timely compliance with all direct and indirect taxation (GST, TDS, Corporate Income Tax, Customs, etc.). - Lead and manage statutory audits, internal audits, and tax assessments smoothly. - Keep abreast of changing fiscal laws, assessing their impact on the engineering business. **3. Project & Cost Control** - Partner with project heads to review Project Costing, Variance Analysis, and Budget vs. Actual reports. - Review contract terms, commercial bids, and vendor agreements to mitigate financial risks. - Oversee inventory valuation, fixed asset management, and depreciation accounting specific to plant and machinery. **4. Team Leadership & CFO Support** - Mentor, guide, and evaluate the 3-member finance team to ensure high accuracy in day-to-day accounting functions (AP/AR, payroll, invoicing). - Assist the CFO in preparing Board presentations, annual budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning. **Candidate Profile** **Education & Experience** - **Qualifications:** Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) / CMA / MBA in Finance. - **Experience:** **15+ years** of post-qualification experience, with at least 5 years in a senior managerial role **Technical & Soft Skills** - **Industry Knowledge:** In-depth understanding of project accounting, percentage-of-completion methods, and job costing. - **Systems:** Advanced proficiency in ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally Prime) and MS Excel. - **Leadership:** Proven track record of managing and upskilling small teams.
