About the role: This is a unique opportunity to join the BTI Studio design team and make a significant impact on the Gartner client experience by creating compelling, high-level design solutions that visually communicate our expert, insight-driven content. We are seeking a proactive, highly skilled graphic designer who also possesses specialized technical skills focused on workflow automation and technical solutions for creative and content processes. You’ll leverage your expertise in Microsoft Visual Basic, Adobe and Apple scripting, and automation tools to streamline operations, empower both designers and authors, and drive creative and content excellence. In this role, you will also influence and lead design projects, collaborating directly with subject matter experts and stakeholders across different geographies. You will be expected to clearly articulate your design perspective, while demonstrating adaptability and comfort with ambiguity and constructive debate. You will work closely with design and editorial colleagues to deliver impactful, timely products, applying expert knowledge of brand and design principles to create visuals that support strategic company goals. What you will do: ●    Drive the creation of high-impact, visually compelling work in a fast-paced, process-driven environment, consistently meeting deadlines and exceeding expectations for creativity, quality, and accuracy. ●    Develop and influence the design of graphics and illustrations for mission-critical, high-visibility client-facing projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. ●    Develop, implement, and maintain automated workflows using Microsoft Visual Basic, PowerPoint VBA, Adobe and Apple scripting, and AI tools to increase efficiency, accuracy, and consistency for both design and authoring teams. ●    Collaborate closely with other designers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and technical solutions that address creative and content-related challenges. ●    Create templates and automated processes for graphics, illustrations, and data visualizations, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and brand standards. ●    Serve as a technical resource — training, and supporting both designers and authors on automation tools and best practices, and new technologies to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.[2.1] ●    Proactively engage with stakeholders — communicating design rationale, timelines, and requirements — while navigating diverse perspectives and building consensus. ●    Lead the identification and mitigation of project risks by developing contingency plans and recommending innovative solutions. ●    Independently manage, prioritize, and execute a high volume of projects, demonstrating expert project management and maintaining exceptional attention to detail during peak periods. ●    Champion design best practices and inclusive representation, ensuring all visuals align with Gartner’s visual standards and reflect diverse perspectives. ●    Drive innovation by experimenting with new design approaches, tools, and AI-assisted methods, sharing insights and learnings with the broader team. ●    Influence and support cross-functional teams by sharing expertise and collaborating to develop best-in-class content visuals. What you will need: ●    Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, computer science, communications or related field, or equivalent experience supported by a strong portfolio of high-level design work. ●    Minimum 5 years (post-college) experience in a graphic design or related technical role. ●    Demonstrated experience with scripting and automation (e.g., Microsoft Visual Basic, PowerPoint VBA, Adobe ExtendScript, AppleScript, or similar). ●    Portfolio demonstrating advanced design skills, including experience with complex layouts, data visualizations, and infographics for executive audiences. ●    Proven ability to drive results as a self-starter, maintaining strict attention to detail and managing multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic, team-based environment. ●    Comfortable influencing and collaborating with confident, expert stakeholders from diverse backgrounds, while remaining adaptable and open to alternative viewpoints. ●    Experience interpreting complex data and developing clear, impactful visualizations. ●    Expertise in visual and digital storytelling, user-centered design, and executive or conference presentations. ●    Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat Pro). ●    Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, including building complex animations and transitions. Familiarity with Brightslide is a plus. ●    Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills ●    Demonstrated adaptability and ability to quickly integrate new tools, systems, and processes to drive operational excellence. What you will get: ●    Competitive salary, generous paid time off policy, charity match program, Medical, Dental & Vision Plans, Parental Leave, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), 401K matching and more! ●    Collaborative, team-oriented culture that embraces diversity  ●    Professional development and unlimited growth opportunities ●    Opportunities to contribute to process improvements, workflow evolution, and innovation initiatives across the Studio. **Who are we?** At Gartner, Inc.
