Career Category Sales & Marketing Operations Job Description Amgen is seeking an Executive Director of AIN BAI & Data to lead a multi-vertical organization based in Hyderabad, India (AIN – Amgen India). This role serves as the strategic, executional, and transformation leader, enabling Amgen’s vision to become a truly data-driven, AI-enabled commercial organization. The Executive Director will help design the global strategy and translate it into scalable action - architecting data ecosystems, leading brand / field analytics and data science innovation, and operationalizing insights across markets. The position reports to the Vice President, GCCI (Global Customer Capabilities & Innovation) in the US and will collaborate closely with all GCCI verticals as well as other GCO functions at AIN. This position will be a member of the AIN site leadership team. Key Responsibilities A. Strategy & Enterprise Transformation • Define and execute Amgen’s Business Analytics & Intelligence (BAI) & Data strategy from India, embedding scalable analytics, AI, and automation across commercial decisions. • Lead the transformation of Amgen’s data and analytics operating model - from project-based delivery to productized, automated, and insights-led execution. • Support global pipeline portfolio strategy and inline portfolio tactics that drive business performance through data-driven insights and analysis. • Align global commercial analytics priorities, investments, and talent with commercial strategy and enterprise objectives in partnership with US and ACCP (Amgen Portugal) leadership. • Foster a culture of innovation by advancing emerging technologies and scalable analytical approaches that enhance agility and business impact. B. Data, Platforms, and Tools • Lead end-to-end commercial data governance, integration, quality, and privacy across global data domains. • Co-lead the design of Amgen’s next-generation data architecture with global peers, enabling agility, transparency, quality, and automation across data workflows. • Evaluate and scale next-generation cloud, BI, and AI platforms to increase insight velocity and transparency across global commercial teams. • Champion enterprise adoption of new analytics platforms, ensuring that global teams derive measurable value from technology investments. C. Insights Leadership • Build and scale next-generation analytics capabilities across forecasting, primary market research, competitive intelligence, and advanced analytics, including machine learning, predictive modeling, and other emerging methodologies. • Ensure insights delivery is standardized, automated, and actionable for both headquarters and field teams, driving measurable commercial impact. • Direct the performance and sub-national analytics function, providing market-level insights that guide commercial execution and growth strategies. • Oversee global forecasting, competitive intelligence, and analytics functions to deliver accurate scenario-based insights that inform portfolio, launch, and brand strategies. D. Organizational Leadership • Ensure efforts across AIN GCCI and AIN GCO functions are coordinated and inline with common corporate objectives. • Build and lead a world-class, India-based organization that delivers innovation, accountability, and measurable business impact at global scale. • Serve as a strategic partner to offshore teams in Global Commercial, Value & Access, Digital, and other departments - influencing enterprise data strategy, analytics priorities, and platform investments. • Represent Amgen’s data and analytics capabilities with external partners, vendors, and industry forums, strengthening Amgen’s reputation as a leader in analytics-driven commercialization. • Oversee budget, offshore vendor portfolio and management, and governance for global analytics delivery and data platforms. • Develop and mentor high-performing talent, fostering a culture of inclusion, learning, and thought leadership to sustain Amgen’s future-ready capabilities. They will also embody the Amgen leadership attributes which are: Inspire: Create a connected, inclusive, and inspiring work environment that empowers talent to thriveAccelerate: Enable speed that matches the urgency of patient needs by encouraging progress over perfectionIntegrate: Connect the dots to amplify the collective power of Amgen to drive results for patients, staff, and shareholdersAdapt: Lead through change by adapting to an ever-changing environment and defining a clear course of action to deliver results Preferred Qualifications • 20+ years of experience leading large-scale data and analytics functions within biopharma, healthcare, or technology industries. • Demonstrated success leading multi-country teams within a matrixed, global operating model. • Proven success in building and scaling global analytics organizations and influencing executive stakeholders across geographies. • Deep understanding of pharma commercial models, including forecasting methodologies, field operations, incentive compensation, and brand analytics. • Proven ability to shape and govern modern data architecture and analytics platforms in partnership with technology leaders. • Demonstrated ability to translate analytics into business strategy and measurable commercial outcomes. • Strong leadership presence with a track record of developing high-performing, cross-functional teams. • Excellent communication, executive influencing, and stakeholder management skills. • Experience driving AI
