Style-editing is processing the texts before online translation. It typically involves correcting mistakes in the source text, mainly grammar, punctuation and spelling.The main goal of pre-editing is to reduce the post-editing workload by adapting the source document to improve the raw output of the machine translation. **Key Responsibilities** - Perform **style editing** for journals and books. - Ensure adherence to specific **style guides** (APA, AMA, CMS, RSC, ACS, etc.). - Edit for grammar, clarity, consistency, and formatting. - Work on projects from leading publishers in the **e-publishing industry**. - Handle **Level 1 & 2 (light and medium)** editing. **Key Tech Stack & Skills** - Prior experience with **e-publishing companies** (e.g., TNQ, APTARA, Straive, Lumina, KGL, Integra, etc.) preferred. - Excellent English language proficiency. - Strong understanding of **style editing** principles. - Familiarity with **LaTeX**, **MS Word**, and digital editing platforms is a plus. **Required Education & Experience** - **Education:** Bachelors degree in a field such as Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. - **Experience:** 2-7 years
