Job description

Style-editing is processing the texts before online translation. It typically involves correcting mistakes in the source text, mainly grammar, punctuation and spelling.The main goal of pre-editing is to reduce the post-editing workload by adapting the source document to improve the raw output of the machine translation. Key Responsibilities • Perform style editing for journals and books. • Ensure adherence to specific style guides (APA, AMA, CMS, RSC, ACS, etc.). • Edit for grammar, clarity, consistency, and formatting. • Work on projects from leading publishers in the e-publishing industry. • Handle Level 1 & 2 (light and medium) editing. Key Tech Stack & Skills • Prior experience with e-publishing companies (e.g., TNQ, APTARA, Straive, Lumina, KGL, Integra, etc.) preferred. • Excellent English language proficiency. • Strong understanding of style editing principles. • Familiarity with LaTeX, MS Word, and digital editing platforms is a plus. Required Education & Experience • Education: Bachelors degree in a field such as Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. • Experience: 2-7 years
