**Job Title: HR Technology - Automation & Integration** **Function: Human Resources – HR Technology** **Location:** Pune, Maharashtra, India **Experience:** 1-5 Years **Domain: HR** **Purpose of the Job** To design, build and sustain workflow automation across Zensar’s HR technology landscape. The role converts high-effort, recurring HR processes into reliable and auditable automations, and builds the integrations across the Zensar ecosystem, so that HR teams spend less time on manual execution and more on work that needs judgement. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Build and maintain workflow automations using "Microsoft Power Automate" and, where appropriate, low-code or no-code platforms such as n8n, Make or Zapier, across the employee lifecycle from onboarding to exit. 2. Integrate HR and business systems using Microsoft Graph API and available SAAS platform APIs for data retrieval, provisioning and cross-application orchestration. 3. Develop and maintain Excel macros (VBA), advanced Excel models and SharePoint-based solutions for recurring HR reporting and operational tracking. 4. Support HRMS activities, including system configuration, data management, issue triage and resolution, working alongside the HRIS and technical teams. 5. Partner with HR process owners and business stakeholders to identify automation opportunities, size effort against benefit, and maintain a prioritised delivery pipeline. 6. Document each automation, covering logic, dependencies, failure handling and ownership, so that solutions remain supportable independently of the person who built them. 7. Apply access-control and data-protection discipline in every build, recognising the confidentiality obligations that attach to employee data. 8. Contribute to AI-enabled use cases within HR, including document intelligence, conversational support and agentic workflows, as the team’s AI agenda expands. **Key competencies** **Functional:** - Microsoft Power Automate, or an equivalent low-code / no-code automation platform - Advanced Microsoft Excel, including VBA and macros - Microsoft SharePoint: lists, libraries and permissions - Working understanding of Microsoft Graph API and REST API concepts - Familiarity with HRMS / HRIS platforms and core HR processes - Exposure to dashboard tools such as Power BI or Tableau (desirable) - Troubleshooting, root-cause analysis and technical documentation **Behavioural:** 1. Learning agility 2. Curiosity 3. Ownership and follow-through 4. Attention to detail 5. Structured problem solving 6. Collaborative 7. Discretion with confidential data **Additional Information (If any)** - **About the HR Technology team:** HR Technology is the enablement function within HR, translating CoE priorities into working systems across the employee lifecycle, from hire to exit. The team runs a deliberate build-versus-buy model: enterprise SaaS where the market already solves the problem, and in-house build where the requirement is specific to Zensar. Products are delivered in partnership with Zensar’s CIO organisation and AI Labs teams, who provide the engineering, architecture and AI capability behind what HR takes to market internally. The remit spans systems of record, process reengineering, employee-facing self-service and leadership insight, worked through four levers: digitisation, process optimisation, automation and the disciplined application of AI. The team operates as an internal product organisation, owning requirements, architecture decisions, build sequencing, rollout and measurement end to end, and is accountable for adoption and outcomes rather than deployment. Success is measured on two outcomes: a materially better employee experience, and demonstrably more effective HR processes. - **How this role fits:** This role sits on the automation lever. It works closest to HR operations, converting the processes that consume the most manual effort into automations, and building the integrations between the HRMS and adjacent systems alongside the CIO organisation’s engineering teams. - **Growth path:** The team’s agenda is expanding into AI-enabled HR and enterprise people analytics. The role carries the opportunity to take on larger HR technology programmes as that agenda scales, including AI-infused solutions within HR. - **Platforms:** Depth in one automation platform matters more than breadth. Experience on adjacent platforms is acceptable where the underlying logic, API and data-handling skills transfer. - **Background:** Candidates without prior HR technology experience are encouraged to apply where they can demonstrate strong learning agility and relevant automation, platform or analytics capability built in another function. - **Education:** Graduate in any discipline. A postgraduate qualification in HR, analytics or a technology discipline is an advantage, not a requirement. Demonstrated capability is weighted above credentials. - **Experience:** 1 to 5 years of relevant experience. Candidates with greater experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis where the fit is strong. - **Work arrangement:** Hybrid. A minimum of three days per week on site at the Pune campus is mandatory
