Job description

**Role & responsibilities** To lead accurate, timely, and compliant payroll operations with strong governance, automation, and audit excellence.List the main results which the job must deliver to achieve its purpose. **Payroll Processing**: Oversee end-to-end payroll cycles, ensuring accurate calculation of salaries, bonuses, incentives, deductions, and recoveries for employees (white and bluecollar). **System Administration & Automation**: Manage payroll systems / ERP (SAP), troubleshoot system issues, and drive automation and digitization initiatives to improve efficiency and accuracy. **Compliance Management:** Ensure adherence to all statutory requirements including PF, ESI, TDS, gratuity, and other applicable labor laws. Manage timely filing of statutory returns, including TDS returns and issuance of Form 16. Address and resolve payroll- and compliance-related queries raised by stakeholders and authorities. **Audit & Internal Controls:** Prepare payroll records, reconciliations, and reports for internal and external audits. Monitor and strengthen internal controls to ensure audit readiness and regulatory compliance. **Process Improvement:** Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and risks in payroll processes and implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce manual intervention and errors. **Team Management:** Lead, manage, train, and mentor payroll team members. Allocate work, provide guidance and onthejob support, and ensure adherence to service levels and quality standards. Bachelors degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. progressive payroll experience with strong expertise in SAP Payroll. Proven experience in team leadership and managing audits and internal controls. Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, income tax laws, and statutory compliance for employees. Experience handling both whitecollar and bluecollar payroll. Hands-on experience with SAP payroll systems and payroll process automation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure with competing priorities. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Demonstrated ability to handle highly sensitive payroll and HR information with confidentiality and professionalism.
