Job description

As a Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Engineer, you will serve as a key point of support and contact for the District HSE Leader. Your role involves delivering the Business Area (BA) HSE Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for the region, with dedicated support for the Service Line of Business (LOB). You will ensure compliance, drive continuous improvement, and strengthen the safety culture across operations. Additionally, you will manage the overall HSE Management System (HSEMS) for the district. **Basic Qualifications & Skills** - University Degree in **Science** or **Engineering** only. - HSE qualification: **Diploma in Industrial Safety from a recognized institute** . - Strong influencing skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization. - Ability to quickly build client-customer relationships in a challenging and changing environment. - Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards during field operations, supporting safe execution of Service contracts and promoting a strong safety culture on-site. - Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and standards at the field level. - Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions. - Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; prepare reports and recommend preventive measures. - Maintain accurate HSE permits and other documentation. - Support risk assessments and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for critical activities. - Coordinate emergency preparedness drills and ensure readiness of safety equipment. - Assist in driving a continuous improvement culture within HSE. **Additional Responsibilities (New Points):** - **HSE Training & Competency Development:** Deliver HSE training sessions (onsite and virtual), conduct induction and orientation programs for new employees, and review/implement Training Needs Analysis (TNA) to ensure competency development for field and service teams. - **Regional PPE Logistics Management:** Manage regional PPE logistics for the Service LOB, ensuring timely availability and compliance with standards. - **Regional Contract MOS Review:** Regularly review and update the regional contract Management Operating System (MOS) to align with HSE standards and Service LOB requirements. - **Data Analysis and Digital Tool Support:** Provide data analysis and support the use of digital tools for HSE performance tracking, reporting, and continuous improvement. - **Contractor HSE Performance Monitoring:** Monitor and audit contractor HSE performance against key HSE parameters, ensuring compliance and driving continuous improvement for Service LOB. **Key Deliverables** - Achieve or exceed the annual operating plan (AOP) by reducing and eliminating incidents. - Sustain and improve HSE maturity, observations, corrective action metrics, and other general KPIs. - Ensure compliance with all HSE standards from leadership, employees, contractors, and subcontractors. - Foster a continuous improvement culture for HSE within the region.
