Specialist - System Management Role Title IBM Z Technical Operator General Skills Strong problem determination skills with the ability to detect triage and control processing anomalies and system errors Clear written and verbal communication skills especially when explaining technical issues during incidents and shift handovers Ability to build effective working relationships across Technology teams and Service Centres based on trust and consistent delivery Comfortable working in a collaborative global team environment approachable and supportive BankingFinance experience is beneficial especially in highavailability riskcontrolled environments Technical Requirements IBM Z console operations monitor system messages s and logs respond appropriately to maintain service availability Monitor job execution troubleshoot failures restartrelease jobs and ensure dependencies and priorities are met Submit schedule and manage batch processing using JCL and job scheduling tools such as TWS Support IPL activities role swaps and controlled component restarts Perform routine housekeeping activities and help ensure resiliency through disciplined operational execution Respond to CICS and DB2 s and perform firstline checksescalations using documented procedures 247 shift operations Work rotating shifts and manage incidents efficiently to maintain high availability Participate in retrospectives and contribute to process improvements including automation to reduce BAU toil Coordinate with Service Centre and support teams for escalation resolution reporting and operational communications
