Job description

- Provide L3 technical administration and support for the IGEL UMS environment across the global environment, ensuring high availability, stability, and performance. - Manage IGEL UMS infrastructure, configurations, profiles, firmware, policies, certificates, licenses, and endpoint management in accordance with standards. - Provide advanced troubleshooting for complex IGEL OS, UMS, endpoint connectivity, authentication, profile, firmware, application, and device-management issues, including root-cause analysis and permanent resolution. - Act as the L3 escalation point for incidents and problems, working closely with Network, EUC, Windows, Security, Identity, Infrastructure, and vendor/IGEL support teams. - Support onboarding of additional sites, including assessment of site readiness, UMS connectivity, network prerequisites, device registration, configuration, policies, testing, and production transition. - Develop and execute site onboarding plans and technical checklists, ensuring all prerequisites are completed before onboarding IGEL endpoints at new locations. - Support IGEL UMS upgrades, patches, migrations, configuration changes, and new feature implementations, including impact assessment, testing, change planning, implementation, and rollback. - Design and maintain IGEL profiles and configuration standards based on requirements, ensuring consistency across existing and newly onboarded sites. - Troubleshoot integration with Active Directory/LDAP, DNS, DHCP, RADIUS/802.1X, certificates, network services, VMware Horizon, Citrix, Microsoft RDS, and other EUC technologies. - Perform detailed log analysis and troubleshooting across IGEL UMS, IGEL OS endpoints, Linux systems, and supporting infrastructure. - Identify opportunities for automation and operational improvement using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or IGEL scripting capabilities. - Maintain technical documentation including architecture, configuration, SOPs, troubleshooting guides, knowledge articles, site onboarding documents, and support runbooks. - Ensure compliance with - security, access management, change management, audit, and ITIL processes. - Work with IGEL/vendor engineering teams on product defects, complex technical issues, feature requests, and advanced troubleshooting. - Monitor capacity and performance of the UMS environment and proactively identify risks, bottlenecks, and scalability requirements as additional sites and endpoints are onboarded. **Key Qualifications** - Experience in EUC, endpoint management, virtualization, infrastructure, or system administration. - Hands-on experience with IGEL UMS/IGEL OS in an enterprise environment. - Strong experience in L3 troubleshooting, incident/problem management, RCA, and technical escalation. - Experience supporting large enterprise/global environments, preferably with multiple sites and geographically distributed users. - Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, 802.1X, RADIUS, certificates, and network connectivity. - Experience with Active Directory/LDAP and enterprise authentication mechanisms. - Knowledge of Microsoft RDS. - Strong Windows and Linux troubleshooting skills, including log collection and analysis. - Experience with PowerShell, Bash, or Python is an advantage. - Understanding of databases such as MS SQL, Oracle, or MySQL is an advantage. - Experience in site onboarding, migration, technology rollout, and deployment projects. - Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills with the ability to work directly with site, EUC, infrastructure, security, and application teams. - Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and provide 247/on-call support when required.
