The open position is for a candidate who   desires   to work with government clients and bring about a change in society. A successful candidate will be expected to work   pro-actively   and effectively on multiple client engagements over the   period of time   and take ownership of the entire project delivery he/she entrusted with.     **Responsibilities:**   - Lead GIS-related workstreams in government consulting projects across urban planning, utilities, land records, smart cities,   transport   and   infrastructure domains. - Design, develop   and   implement GIS-based applications, dashboards   and   visualizations using tools like ESRI ArcGIS and QGIS. - Manage spatial data collection, cleaning,   conversion   and   analysis from multiple sources including satellite imagery,   surveys   and   open data. - Conduct geocoding, georeferencing   and   spatial modeling to support planning and decision-making for government stakeholders. - Support integration of GIS platforms with other IT systems (MIS, ERP , citizen   service platforms). - Liaise with government officials and domain consultants to understand project requirements and translate them into GIS solutions. - Prepare high-quality documentation,   reports   and   training materials for client use and capacity building. - Ensure GIS solutions are aligned with national spatial data infrastructure (NSDI) guidelines and geospatial policy norms. - Support proposal development, GIS solutioning   and   stakeholder presentations for new business opportunities. **Mandatory skill sets :**   - 6 to 10 years of experience in GIS and spatial analysis, including project delivery - Strong command of ESRI ArcGIS Suite (ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Server), QGIS   and   other GIS software. - Experience in geocoding, geodatabase management, spatial data   modeling   and   web-based GIS applications. - Proficiency   in working with spatial databases (e.g., PostgreSQL/Post   GIS, SQL Server Spatial). - Good understanding of government programs, spatial planning   policies   and   urban development schemes. - Strong skills in stakeholder engagement, requirement   gathering   and   presenting GIS outputs to non-technical audiences. **Preferred skill sets:**   - Prior experience in GIS consulting for Central/State Government, PSUs, ULBs, or donor-funded projects. - Familiarity with remote sensing, drone data processing,   LiDAR   and   open-source geospatial libraries (e.g., GDAL, Leaflet,   OpenLayers ). - Working knowledge of Python/R/JavaScript for GIS automation and customization. - Understanding of national programs like Digital India, Smart Cities, AMRUT, NRSC, Bhuvan, NIC platforms. - Certification in GIS, remote sensing, or spatial data science (e.g., ESRI Technical Certification). **Years of experience   required :**   - 6 to 10 years of hands-on experience in GIS consulting, GIS application   development   and   spatial data analytics, preferably in government or public infrastructure projects. **Education qualification:**   - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering , Geography, Urban Planning, Environmental Science, or   a related   field. - Master’s degree in Geo-Informatics, Remote Sensing, GIS, or Spatial Data Science   from a recognized institution   (prefer
