" **ABOUT THE ROLE**   PwC's Deals practice partners with private equity funds, investment banks, corporates, and family offices across the transaction lifecycle – M&A strategy, due diligence, valuations, transaction services, and post-deal value creation. We are looking for a Business Development Manager to own and grow relationships with PE funds and investment banks, drive origination of mandates, and work shoulder-to-shoulder with cross-functional Deals teams to convert opportunities into high-impact engagements.   **Responsibilities:**   - Build, deepen, and   maintain   trusted relationships with Partners, Principals, MDs, and Deal teams at priority PE funds, VC funds, and investment banks across India. - Independently represent PwC Deals with clients – host meetings, navigate conversations on live and upcoming deals, and position the right PwC capabilities with minimal   hand-holding . - Track the deals market closely – sectors in play, active sponsors, live mandates, fund-raising activity, exits – and translate insights into targeted outreach and pursuit plans. - Partner with Deals leadership and cross-functional teams (Diligence, Valuations, TS, Strategy&, Tax, Legal) to shape pitches, proposals, and commercial constructs. - Own the account plan for a portfolio of PE funds and IBs – pipeline, win rate, revenue, cross-sell – and drive disciplined execution against it in the CRM. - Orchestrate client events, roundtables, sector pavilions, and CXO engagements to sustain top-of-mind presence with sponsors and bankers. - Travel extensively across Mumbai, Delhi-NCR,   Bangalore , and other financial hubs to stay close to clients and deal flow. - Strong existing network across the PE and IB ecosystem in India; credibility to engage senior   deal-makers   independently. - Sharp commercial instincts – able to read a deal,   identify   where PwC can add value, and frame a compelling commercial proposition. - Excellent communication, executive presence, and storytelling skills; comfortable in 1:1 client settings as well as group forums. - Highly   organised   operator – able to manage a large pipeline, multiple stakeholders, and a demanding *travel calendar without dropping threads.*     **Mandatory skill sets:**   - R elationships with PE / IB and anchored sales **Preferred skill sets:**   - S upport our PE and IB programs **Years of experience   required :**   - 7- 12 years of experience spanning technology delivery and business/consulting roles; prior exposure to Deals, Investment Banking, PE, or Corporate Finance strongly preferred. **Education qualification:**   - MBA from a Tier 1 institute **Education** *(if blank, degree and/or field of study not specified)* Degrees/Field of Study required: Master of Business Administration Degrees/Field of Study preferred: **Certifications** *(if blank, certifications not specified)* **Required Skills** Relationship Networking **Optional Skills** Accepting Feedback, Accepting Feedback, Acquisition Strategy, Active Listening, Analytical Thinking, Business Valuations, Buyouts, Capital Raising, Client Confidentiality, Client Management, Client Onboarding, Coaching and Feedback, Communication, Contract Negotiation, Contractual Agreements, Corporate Development, Creativity, Data Analysis, Data Rooms, Deal Sourcing, Deal Structures, Debt Restructuring, Discounted Cash Flow Valuation, Embracing Change, Emotional Regulation {+ 34 more} **Desired Languages**
