Indesign Paginator

Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly efficient **InDesign Paginator** to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for the layout, formatting, and high-volume pagination of print and digital publicationsincluding books, academic journals, magazines, or textbooks. **Key Responsibilities** - **Page Layout & Formatting:** Perform high-quality pagination and structural layout utilizing Adobe InDesign with XML - **Template & Style Management:** Build and apply parent/master pages, precise paragraph/character styles, text variables, and object styles to maintain absolute visual consistency. - **Typography & Typesetting Standards:** Adjust text tracking, kerning, leading, hyphenation, and column alignments to eliminate composition errors (such as widows, orphans, or bad line breaks). - **Quality Control & Proofing:** Incorporate editorial proofing marks, author corrections, and client feedback accurately. Conduct meticulous self-checks for content layout, alignment, and page numbering. - **Asset & Output Management:** Manage heavy graphics placement, check link resolutions, and run final preflight diagnostics. Generate high-quality, print-ready, or digital-ready PDFs. - **Workflow Integration:** Collaborate with project managers, editors, and technical teams. Work cleanly within specialized workflows (such as XML-first workflows, MathType integration, or ePub outputs).
