The Industrial Engineering Manager will lead and optimize manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness within HITACHI ENERGY INDIA LIMITED. This role involves applying industrial engineering principles to improve operational performance and support strategic business goals. Job Responsibilities:\\*\\* - Lead and manage a team of industrial engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations. - Develop, implement, and maintain industrial engineering methodologies, tools, and best practices across manufacturing operations. - Conduct time studies, motion studies, and process analyses to identify bottlenecks, waste, and areas for improvement. - Design and optimize production layouts, material flow, and workstation designs to enhance efficiency and ergonomics. - Establish and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for manufacturing processes. - Lead continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other relevant methodologies. - Develop and implement capacity planning models to ensure optimal resource utilization and meet production demands. - Analyze production data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor performance and identify trends. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, supply chain, and R&D to drive operational excellence. - Evaluate and implement new technologies, automation, and equipment to enhance productivity and reduce costs. - Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and recommendations for management on process improvements and cost savings. - Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies. Job Qualifications:\\*\\* - Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. - Minimum of 12-15 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering roles within a manufacturing environment, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial capacity. - Proven expertise in lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred) - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach. - Proficiency in process mapping, time studies, capacity planning, and layout optimization. - Experience with manufacturing execution systems (MES) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. - Ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. - Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently. - Knowledge of relevant industry standards and safety regulations.
