**Role Overview** We are seeking an experienced and strategic **Instructional Designer (5 to 6 years of experience)** to lead the design and architecting of high-impact learning content for our diverse retail portfolio, spanning **Jewellery, Watches, Eyewear, Perfumes, and Accessories**. In this role, you will act as the vital bridge between corporate business stakeholders and our content execution team. You will be responsible for consulting with leadership, capturing training needs, creating robust instructional blueprints, and ensuring the final training deliverables meet the highest standards of retail excellence before rolling out to our frontline teams.. **Key Responsibilities** **1. Stakeholder Consulting & Needs Analysis** - Collaborate with and support the Retail Content Head in consulting with brand managers, product design teams, and retail leadership to identify performance gaps and training needs for new collections, product launches, or behavioural initiatives. - Translate complex product technical specifications into structured, retail-friendly learning objectives. **2. Learning Architecture & Blueprinting** - Design comprehensive content blueprints, high-level outlines (HLOs), storyboards, and curriculum maps for diverse delivery formats (e-Learning, instructor-led training, micro-learning, and video-based content). - Present and review content outlines with stakeholders, capturing feedback and securing structural alignment before passing projects to the content development team. **3. Content Quality Assurance & Sign-off** - Review the final outputs generated by the content creation team (PPTs, modules, scripts, videos) to ensure rigorous instructional alignment, visual standards, and tone of voice. - Manage the final review loops with stakeholders, confidently addressing feedback, and securing final buy-in and sign-off for deployment. **4. Core Instructional Design (Generic Responsibilities)** - Apply advanced adult learning theories (ADDIE, SAM, Blooms Taxonomy) to create highly engaging, retention-focused learning experiences. - Design robust knowledge checks, scenario-based assessments, and role-play rubrics that accurately measure retail skill application. - Stay updated on global trends in eLearning, micro-learning, gamification, and digital learning technologies to continuously innovate our training delivery. **Qualifications & Experience** - **Experience:** 5 to 6 years of dedicated experience in Instructional Design, Content Architecture, or Learning Experience Design (LXD). - **Education:** Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Journalism, Mass Communication, Education, Instructional Design, or a related field. - **Industry Context (Preferred Advantage):** Prior experience in **Retail, Luxury, Lifestyle, Apparel, or Consumer Goods**. Direct knowledge or a strong passion for the craftsmanship of **jewellery, watch horology, or lifestyle accessories** is a significant plus. - **Tech-Savviness:** Deep familiarity with how content integrates into modern Learning Management Systems (LMS) and awareness of rapid authoring tools (Articulate Storyline/Rise 360, Vyond, AI content tools) to guide developers effectively. **Soft Skills Required** - **Strong Peer Collaboration:** Ability to guide and give clear, constructive feedback to writers, graphic designers, and videographers. - **Flawless Communication:** Top-tier written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail and storytelling.
