**Pre-Sales Consultant – Insurance BPS | C1 Band** **Note: Candidate from IT presales will not be qualified for this role. Kindly skip if you have experience only in IT (Insurance) presales.** **Role Type:** Individual Contributor **Job Type:** Full-Time **Location:** Anywhere in India **Work Timing:** 11:30 AM to 9:00 PM IST, aligned to global pursuit support **Function:** Pre-Sales, RFP Response and Solution Support **Mandatory Requirement:** Prior experience or strong domain exposure in Insurance is mandatory. Property & Casualty experience is preferred; Life, Annuities, Retirement or Pensions exposure is desirable. **Role Overview** We are looking for an entry-level Pre-Sales Consultant at C1 band to support Insurance BPS pursuits across RFP responses, solution documentation, RLS creation, proposal coordination and stakeholder follow-up. The role will work closely with senior solution leaders and cross-functional teams to produce high-quality, timely and consistent pursuit deliverables. **Insurance domain experience or meaningful Insurance process exposure is mandatory for this role.** **Key Responsibilities:** - Support the preparation of RFP, RFI and due diligence responses by collating inputs, drafting content, maintaining response trackers and ensuring timely completion of assigned sections. - Create and maintain RLS / Role Labour Schedule inputs, resource assumptions and workforce requirement templates in coordination with solution, delivery and finance stakeholders. - Assist in solution documentation including operating model narratives, process scope, location strategy, transition approach, governance model, assumptions, dependencies and risks. - Coordinate with Finance and pricing teams to gather cost inputs, FTE assumptions, productivity levers, pyramid mix inputs and commercial dependencies required for proposal completion. - Work with SMU, Technology, SRM, BITS, Quality, Risk, Security, Compliance and Transformation Office teams to collect validated inputs and ensure proposal responses are complete and aligned. - Maintain bid calendars, action trackers, version control, submission checklists, open items logs and stakeholder follow-up notes for active pursuits. - Support the creation of client presentation materials, solution summaries, case study inputs, transformation intervention lists and executive proposal sections. - Research Insurance industry processes, client pain points, solution benchmarks and Wipro capability content to strengthen response quality and relevance. - Ensure standard templates, reusable content, credentials, assumptions and compliance responses are kept up to date for future pursuits. - Participate in internal review meetings, capture actions, follow through on pending items and support leadership with concise status updates. **Required Qualifications and Experience** - Bachelor’s degree is required. MBA, Insurance, Finance, Operations or Business-related qualification is preferred. - 2–5 years of experience in Insurance operations, BPS/BPO, consulting support, proposal support, bid management, solution support, business analysis or pre-sales support. - Mandatory: Insurance domain exposure through operations, process knowledge, consulting, pre-sales, proposal support, transition support or business analysis. Candidates without Insurance exposure should not be shortlisted. - Exposure to Property & Casualty Insurance is preferred. Life Insurance, Annuities, Retirement, Pensions, Claims, Policy Administration, Underwriting Support or Customer Service exposure will be an added advantage. - Basic understanding of RFP response structure, proposal lifecycle, solution components, operating model build-up, staffing assumptions and transition dependencies. - Ability to work with data, templates, Excel trackers, PowerPoint content and Word-based proposal documents with high attention to detail. **Functional Skills** - Strong written communication skills with ability to draft clear, professional and client-ready responses. - Good coordination and follow-up discipline across multiple stakeholders and workstreams. - Working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel for proposal development, trackers, RLS inputs and management reporting. - Ability to summarize inputs, identify gaps, raise risks early and maintain organized documentation during tight timelines. - Understanding of business process outsourcing concepts such as FTE modelling, productivity, transition, governance, quality, compliance and service delivery metrics. - Comfort working in a global environment with cross-functional teams across sales, solutioning, delivery, finance, technology and transformation. **Behavioral Expectations** - High ownership mindset, responsiveness and willingness to learn in a fast-paced bid environment. - Strong attention to detail, document hygiene and version-control discipline. - Ability to manage multiple tasks, follow instructions accurately and meet internal deadlines. - Professional communication style with the confidence to follow up with senior stakeholders for inputs and clarifications. - Collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively as part of a pursuit team. - Curiosity to build Insurance domain depth and develop into a stronger pre-sales and solutioning professional over time. **Key Success Measures** - Timely completion of assigned RFP/RFI response sections and pursuit support activities. - Accuracy and completeness of RLS inputs, trackers, assumptions and documentation. - Quality of coordination across Finance, SMU, Technology, SRM, BITS, Quality, Risk, Compliance and Transformation teams. - Improved proposal consistency through reuse of standard content, templates, credentials and solution assets. - Positive feedback from solution leaders and stakeholders on responsiveness, ownership and document quality. - Demonstrated growth in Insurance domain knowledge and pre-sales capability.
