Interior Design Trainer

**Key Responsibilities** - Onboarding & Induction: Design and execute a structured onboarding program for newly joined interior designers to familiarize them with company workflows, design philosophies, and product catalogs. - Technical & Software Training: Conduct intensive training sessions on core design software, ensuring new hires meet company standards in tool proficiency. - Material & Production Knowledge: Educate designers on various materials (modular materials, finishes, hardware, lighting) and cost estimation/BOQ (Bill of Quantities) generation. - Site & Execution Training: Guide trainees on standard site measurement techniques, understanding MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) layouts, and converting designconcepts into flawless working drawings. - Sales & Client Handling Pitch: Train designers on soft skills, client presentation techniques, understanding client briefs, and effectively pitching design concepts. - Performance Evaluation: Assess the progress of new hires through regular assignments, mock client pitches, and design reviews, providing constructive feedback before they go live on projects. - Module Development: Continuously update and refine training modules, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and reference manuals based on evolving design trends and company updates. **Required Skills and Qualifications** - Education: Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field. - Experience: Minimum of 35 years of hands-on experience in residential/commercial interior designing, preferably with experience in modular interiors. Prior experience in a training, mentoring, or team-lead role is highly desirable. - Software Expertise: Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, V-Ray (or other rendering engines), and MS Office. - Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of modular furniture, detailing, materials, and the execution process. - Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Must have patience and a strong aptitude for teaching and mentoring. - Language: Fluency in English and Tamil is required to effectively communicate with the local team and trainees.
