**Job Title: Inventory Manager** **Location: Jaipur** We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Manager to oversee and optimize inventory operations for our gemstone and jewelry business. The role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records of gemstones, diamonds, precious metals, finished jewelry, and work-in-progress stock while ensuring inventory security, traceability, and operational efficiency. **Key Responsibilities** **Inventory Planning & ; Control** - Manage end-to-end inventory operations for gemstones, diamonds, precious metals, finished jewelry, and semi-finished products. - Monitor stock levels and maintain optimal inventory availability to support sales and production requirements. - Establish inventory control procedures to minimize losses, discrepancies, and stock shortages. **Inventory Tracking & ; Record Management** - Maintain accurate inventory records within ERP, Synergics, JMS, GMS and inventory management systems. - Ensure proper tagging, coding, grading, and classification of gemstones and jewelry items. - Track inventory movement across procurement, manufacturing, quality control, warehousing, retail stores, and customer orders. - Monitor stock transfers between locations and ensure proper documentation. **Stock Audits & ; Reconciliation** - Conduct periodic cycle counts and physical inventory audits. - Reconcile physical inventory with system records and investigate variances. - Coordinate annual inventory verification exercises with finance and external auditors. - Prepare inventory discrepancy reports and recommend corrective actions. **Gemstone & ; Jewelry Inventory Management** - Ensure accurate tracking of high-value gemstones and precious jewelry items. - Maintain inventory traceability by stone type, quality, certification, weight, origin, and batch number. - Monitor inventory aging and slow-moving stock. - Collaborate with merchandising and sales teams to optimize inventory turnover. **Security &; Risk Management** - Implement inventory security protocols for high-value assets. - Monitor access controls and stock handling procedures. - Investigate inventory losses, damages, and theft incidents. - Ensure compliance with company security policies and industry best practices. **Reporting & ; Analytics** - Generate daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports. - Analyze inventory turnover, stock aging, shrinkage, and utilization metrics. - Provide management with inventory insights and recommendations for optimization. - Support budgeting and inventory valuation exercises. **Process Improvement** - Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy and operational efficiency. - Implemented Synergics, JMS, GMS and inventory system enhancements. - Develop and maintain inventory-related SOPs and best practices. **Qualifications** **Education** - Bachelor Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field. - Professional certifications in Inventory Management. **Experience** - 10+ years of inventory management experience. - Experience in gemstones, jewelry, diamonds, luxury goods, manufacturing, retail, or export industries preferred. - Proven experience managing high-value inventory and conducting inventory audits. **Required Skills** - Strong knowledge of inventory control principles and best practices. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Advanced Excel and reporting capabilities. - Strong understanding of gemstone and jewelry inventory classification and valuation. - Attention to detail and high accuracy standards. - Excellent communication and leadership skills. - Ability to manage confidential and high-value inventory responsibly.
