Must have skills : C++ Programming Language Good to have skills : Spring Boot, Python (Programming Language) Minimum 5 year(s) of experience is required Educational Qualification : 15 years full time education Job Description: ION Developer / ION Trading Platform Specialist Role Overview We are looking for an experienced ION Developer / ION Trading Platform Specialist to support trading, pricing, execution, and post-trade workflows within a financial markets environment. The role requires hands-on experience with ION platforms, electronic trading workflows, market connectivity, trade lifecycle, and production stability. The candidate should be able to configure, enhance, support, and troubleshoot ION-based solutions used across trading desks, front office, middle office, operations, and downstream systems. Key Responsibilities Must have: This demand is for ION skill with requirement of Spring boot and Python skills Support, configure, and enhance ION trading platforms. Work on trade capture, pricing, execution, booking, and post-trade workflows. Analyze and resolve ION application issues across front-office and downstream processes. Support market connectivity, exchange connectivity, broker connectivity, and data flows. Work with business users, traders, operations, and technology teams to understand requirements. Configure workflows, static data, business rules, and interfaces within ION systems. Support integration between ION and upstream/downstream applications. Analyze trade flow breaks, booking issues, STP failures, and interface exceptions. Support production incidents, root cause analysis, and permanent fix implementation. Participate in release planning, testing, regression execution, and deployment support. Improve monitoring, automation, and operational stability of ION platforms. Coordinate with vendor teams where required for issue resolution and platform upgrades. Required Skills Hands-on experience with ION trading platforms. Strong understanding of financial markets trading workflows. Experience in trade lifecycle, trade capture, pricing, execution, confirmation, settlement, or post-trade flows. Knowledge of front-office, middle-office, and operations processes. Experience in application support, configuration, development, or integration around ION platforms. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. Good understanding of Unix/Linux, SQL, scripting, and logs analysis. Experience working with business users and technology stakeholders. Ability to support time-sensitive production issues in a trading environment. Preferred Skills Experience in fixed income, rates, credit, FX, money markets, commodities, or derivatives. Exposure to ION products such as ION MarketView, ION Trading, ION Fidessa, ION Anvil, ION MMI, ION XTP, ION Wallstreet Suite, or related ION platforms. Knowledge of FIX protocol, messaging, APIs, MQ, Kafka, or market connectivity. Experience with Java, Python, shell scripting, or SQL. Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD, release management, and automation tools. Experience in vendor coordination and platform upgrade activities. Prior experience in investment banking or capital markets technology. Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should have strong ION platform experience, good capital markets domain understanding, and the ability to support trading-critical workflows. The role requires hands-on issue resolution, strong stakeholder management, and the ability to work across business, vendor, and technology teams. Role Criticality ION is a niche trading platform skill with a limited resource pool in the market. The role is business-critical due to its direct impact on trading, execution, booking, and post-trade workflows. Experienced ION specialists are difficult to replace quickly, particularly where strong domain and platform context is required.
