Join us and experience a flexible, supportive environment where your well-being is prioritized and your potential can thrive. **The Role** Key Responsibilities * Design and implement enterprise IBM i (AS/400) infrastructure and storage architectures. * Define architecture standards, best practices, and governance for IBM i environments. * Lead infrastructure modernization, migration, and upgrade initiatives. * Design High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions to meet business continuity requirements. * Architect SAN storage solutions, including capacity planning, storage allocation, and performance optimization. * Review system performance and recommend infrastructure improvements for scalability and reliability. * Plan and oversee IBM i operating system upgrades, PTF management, and hardware refresh activities. * Develop backup and recovery strategies using BRMS and enterprise backup solutions. * Provide technical leadership and guidance to support and operations teams. * Collaborate with application, network, security, and infrastructure teams to deliver integrated solutions. * Ensure compliance with security, audit, and regulatory requirements. * Evaluate emerging IBM i and storage technologies and recommend improvements. * Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for critical incidents and implement long-term solutions. * Create and maintain architecture documentation, standards, and operational procedures. * Support ITIL-based Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management processes. And finally, you're open and borderless - naturally inclusive in how you work with others. **Required Technical and Professional Expertise** * Extensive experience with IBM i (AS/400) architecture and administration. * Strong knowledge of IBM i / OS/400 system design and operations. * Expertise in IBM Power Systems architecture. * Experience with IBM FlashSystem, IBM DS8000, IBM Storwize, and SAN technologies. * Strong understanding of Fibre Channel, RAID, LUN provisioning, and storage virtualization. * Experience designing High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions. * Proficiency in BRMS, backup, recovery, and business continuity planning. * Expertise in performance tuning, workload optimization, and capacity planning. * Experience with IBM Navigator for i, HMC, and PowerVM. * Strong knowledge of IBM i security, user management, and compliance. * Experience with ITIL processes, ServiceNow, and enterprise service management. * Excellent troubleshooting, solution design, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills. **Preferred Technical** * IBM Certified System Administrator - IBM i. * IBM Power Systems or IBM Storage certifications. * ITIL Foundation or ITIL Intermediate certification. * Experience with IBM Spectrum Protect (TSM) and IBM SAN Volume Controller (SVC). * Knowledge of AIX, Linux, and Windows Server administration. * Experience with PowerHA, MIMIX, or other IBM i HA/replication solutions. * Proficiency in CL/CLLE scripting, SQL, and automation. * Familiarity with cloud integration, hybrid infrastructure, and virtualization technologies. * Experience leading architecture reviews, technology roadmaps, and infrastructure transformation projects. * Strong project management, mentoring, and cross-functional leadership skills. **Being You** The Kyn in Kyndryl means kinship, which represents the strong bonds we have with each other, our customers and our communities.
