**Company:** Qualcomm India Private Limited **Job Area:** Information Technology Group, Information Technology Group > IT Software Developer **General Summary:** **IT Software Developer, Staff** **General Summary** Qualcomm IT is seeking a **Staff Software Developer** with strong experience in **Java and Pythonbased fullstack development**, along with handson expertise in building and scaling **Generative AI and agentic AI solutions**. This role will drive automation, intelligence, and efficiency across **Legal and Intellectual Property (IP) platforms**. The position is pivotal in building and maintaining **custom IP analysis applications** that manage one of the worlds largest patent portfolios. We are looking for a candidate with deep technical expertise, strong architectural thinking, and the ability to **lead the design and endtoend delivery of complex enterprise applications** while driving engineering best practices, scalability, and reliability. **Key Responsibilities** - Architect, design, and develop scalable, high-performance web applications using modern frameworks. - Lead the integration of GenAI and agentic AI technologies to automate IP workflows, enhance data insights, and improve user experience. - Collaborate with legal and IP stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions. - Ensure robust, secure, and maintainable application architecture aligned with enterprise standards. - Mentor development teams and contribute to technical leadership, design reviews, and best practices across projects. - Ensure responsible AI implementation, including evaluation, guardrails, and adherence to enterprise security and governance standards. **Minimum Qualifications** **Education** Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Information Technology. **Experience** - 11+ years of overall experience in software development, with a strong focus on enterprise-grade applications. - 810 years of fullstack development experience using Java, Python, Spring Boot, Angular, or similar technologies. - 4+ years of experience designing distributed, eventdriven, and APIfirst systems with strong reliability and security postures. - Strong expertise in the LLM/GenAI ecosystem, including orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain), agentic and graphbased workflows (e.g., LangGraph), RAG and search patterns, and vector databases, with sound judgment in designing and deploying both traditional (nonAI) and AI-driven solutions at enterprise scale. - Solid understanding of SQL, relational database design and NoSQL databases. - Proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, EKS/ECS, IAM, API Gateway, S3, Lambda, CloudFormation. - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, SonarQube, and automated testing frameworks. - Working knowledge of Agile methodologies and the Scrum framework. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams. - Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and operate with a high degree of ownership. **Preferred Qualifications** - AWS or other cloud certifications (Azure/GCP). - Experience with build tools such as Gradle and Maven, and development environments/IDEs such as IntelliJ or Eclipse. - Experience with TestDriven Development (TDD), system design, technical documentation, test case preparation, and test reviews. - Strong debugging and root cause analysis skills for complex production issues. - Experience working on or leading small to medium-sized development teams from project definition through implementation. - Ability to initiate and implement process improvements and contribute beyond defined responsibilities
