**Job Description Senior Java Backend Developer (8–15 Years)** **Position** **Senior Java Backend Developer / Lead Engineer** **Experience** **8–15 Years** **Location** *Walk-in Drive – [Hyderabad]* **Job Summary** We are looking for highly skilled and experienced **Java Backend Developers** with strong expertise in designing, developing, and deploying scalable enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should possess deep hands-on experience in **Java, Spring Boot, Microservices architecture, Quarks, Kubernetes**, and at least one major cloud platform (**AWS, Azure, or GCP**). The role requires strong problem-solving skills, system design expertise, and experience building cloud-native applications. **Key Responsibilities** - Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable backend applications using Java and modern frameworks. - Build and implement RESTful APIs and Microservices-based solutions. - Develop cloud-native applications using Spring Boot and Quarks. - Design and optimize distributed systems with a focus on scalability, performance, and reliability. - Containerize applications using Docker and deploy them on Kubernetes platforms. - Work with cloud services (AWS/Azure/GCP) to build secure and resilient solutions. - Participate in architecture discussions, technical design reviews, and code reviews. - Implement CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Owners, Architects, QA, and DevOps teams. - Troubleshoot production issues and drive performance tuning initiatives. - Ensure adherence to coding standards, security practices, and software engineering best practices. **Required Skills** **Core Java** - Strong expertise in Java 8/11/17+ - Collections Framework - Multithreading & Concurrency - Java Memory Management & JVM Tuning - Functional Programming (Streams, Lambda Expressions) - Design Patterns and SOLID Principles **Spring Ecosystem** - Spring Boot - Spring MVC - Spring Data JPA - Spring Security - Spring Cloud - Spring Batch (good to have) **Microservices** - API Design & Development - Service Discovery - API Gateway - Distributed Transactions - Circuit Breaker Patterns - Event-Driven Architecture - Messaging Systems (Kafka/RabbitMQ) **Quarks** - Development of cloud-native applications using Quarks - Native image creation and optimization - Reactive programming concepts **Containerization & Orchestration** - Docker - Kubernetes - Helm Charts - OpenShift (good to have) **Cloud Platforms (Any One)** - AWS / Azure / GCP - Compute, Storage, Networking fundamentals - Container services (EKS, AKS, GKE) - Monitoring and Logging services **Database Technologies** - PostgreSQL / Oracle / MySQL - MongoDB / Cassandra (good to have) - Query optimization and performance tuning **DevOps & Tools** - Git - Jenkins / GitHub Actions / Azure DevOps - SonarQube - Maven / Gradle - CI/CD Pipelines **Desired Candidate Profile** - 8–15 years of experience in backend application development. - Proven experience delivering large-scale enterprise applications. - Strong understanding of Microservices and cloud-native architecture. - Hands-on expertise in Kubernetes deployments and production support. - Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. - Ability to mentor junior developers and drive technical discussions. **Good to Have** - Reactive Programming (WebFlux, Mutiny) - Service Mesh (Istio) - Observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk) - Domain-Driven Design (DDD) - Financial Services or Banking Domain experience
