Java / Kotlin Engineer

Job description

**Role & responsibilities** - Design and develop microservices using **Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, and REST APIs**. (Mandatory) - Build and maintain payment processing, remittance, settlement, and transaction orchestration services.**(Good to have)** - Integrate with banking systems, payment gateways, SWIFT, ACH, and third-party financial partners.( **(Good to have)** - Develop scalable APIs for global money transfer and digital payment solutions. **(Good to have)** - Ensure high availability, performance, security, and regulatory compliance of payment applications. - Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and production support. - Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, QA, and Business teams in an Agile environment. - Support CI/CD implementation and cloud-native deployment strategies. **Preferred candidate profile** **Required Skills** - Strong experience in **Java/J2EE and Kotlin** development. - Expertise in **Spring Boot, Microservices, RESTful APIs, JSON, and Web Services**. - Experience with **Oracle/PostgreSQL**, SQL optimization, and NoSQL databases. - Knowledge of **Kafka/Event-Driven Architecture** is preferred. - Experience with **Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes**, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure). - Strong understanding of secure coding practices and payment transaction processing. - Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies **Domain Experience ( Good to have)** - Global Remittance / Cross-Border Payments - Digital Banking & Wallets - Payment Processing, Settlement & Reconciliation - AML, KYC, Sanctions Screening, and Compliance - SWIFT, ISO 20022, ACH, RTP, SEPA or Card Payments
