Experience: 2-8 years Category: Production Support Shift: Flexible to support 24x7 shifts, weekends Location: Hyderabad/Bangalore Position ID: J0526-2363 Employment Type: Full Time Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or higher with minimum 2 years of relevant experience. Position Description: We are looking for a strong Java Production Support / Application Support Engineer with solid Core Java and Unix expertise, who can manage 24x7 offshore support, handle production issues, and work closely with onshore teams to ensure seamless service delivery for enterprise clients. Your future duties and responsibilities Responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of offshore production support services for enterprise customers. Provide L1/L2 production support for Java-based applications, including: o Application/system monitoring o Incident management and root cause analysis o Issue troubleshooting and resolution o Bug fixing and deployment support Deliver 24x7 application support in a shift-based environment, including rotational shifts. Perform enhancements, fixes, and customizations based on client requirements. Support and manage microservices-based applications built using Spring Boot. Handle migration, patching, and upgrade activities across: o Operating system servers o Application servers o Middleware components o Database servers Provide support for workflow/process automation using Camunda. Work with Kafka-based messaging systems for event-driven architectures. Coordinate with onshore teams, vendors, and external agencies for daily operational activities. Ensure timely incident resolution in compliance with SLAs and quality standards. Maintain proper documentation, runbooks, and support knowledge base. Flexible to support 24x7 shifts, weekends, and holidays as per project needs. Required qualifications to be successful in this role Must-Have Skills: Strong hands-on experience in Core Java Good experience with Spring Boot and Microservices architecture Solid understanding of REST APIs and system integration Experience with MongoDB and PostgreSQL databases Working knowledge of Camunda (workflow/process automation) Experience with Apache Kafka for messaging and event-driven systems Strong experience with Linux/Unix systems Proficiency in Linux/Unix commands and shell scripting Medium-level exposure to SQL / relational databases (PostgreSQL / Oracle) Proven ability to troubleshoot production issues in live environments Willingness to work in flexible and rotational shifts (24x7 support) Good-to-Have Skills: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) Exposure to containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes Knowledge of ANT scripting Basic to intermediate knowledge of: o JavaScript o JSP & Servlets o HTML & CSS Exposure to AI, automation tools, or scripting-based automation Experience with application performance monitoring and alerting tools
