**Job Title: Java UI Developer** **Department**: PI Germany **About Business line/Function:**ITG Personal Investors IT **Position Purpose:**The developer helps with the development of Consors bank information systems, Business Applications and contributes to ensuring its continuity through personal effort as part of a team or to a limited extent within the department to achieve short-term and occasionally medium-term goals. They help in the development and realization of software architecture as a contribution to high-quality software solutions in accordance with the applicable best practices (maintainable, safe, documented, scalable, testable and in accordance with the needs of the business area). **Responsibilities** Direct Responsibilities - Design and develop Java Swing-based UI components for trading applications. - Software Testing, Acceptance, and Handover - Write comprehensive unit tests (JUnit, Mockito) and integration tests for UI and concurrency logic. - Simulate high-load scenarios to validate performance and stability. - Document system behavior, including concurrency patterns and push technology integrations. - Conduct end-to-end testing for both client and server components, including gRPC-based communication. **Software Maintenance:** - Troubleshoot and resolve concurrency-related issues (e.g., deadlocks, race conditions). - Optimize push technology implementations for low latency and high throughput. - Refactor legacy Swing code to modern standards while maintaining backward compatibility. - Maintain and enhance both client and server components in collaboration with the middleware team, including gRPC service maintenance. **Contributing Responsibilities** - Cooperation within Team and Company - Know-how and Knowledge **Technical & Behavioral Competencies** - Java UI Development: 7+ years of hands-on experience with Java Swing, JavaFX, or similar UI frameworks. **Specific Qualifications:** - Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field. - Experience in financial trading systems or real-time data applications is a plus. - Certifications in Java (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional) or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) are advantageous. - Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field. **Education Level:**Bachelor’s degree or Equivalent **Location:**Chennai **About BNP Paribas Group:** BNP Paribas is the European Union’s leading bank and key player in international banking.
