Must have skills : C++ Programming Language Good to have skills : Python (Programming Language), Spring Boot Minimum 5 year(s) of experience is required Educational Qualification : 15 years full time education ------------- This demand is for KDB skill with requirement of Spring boot and Python skills -------------------------- Job Description: KDB Developer / KDB+ Engineer Role Overview We are looking for an experienced KDB Developer / KDB+ Engineer to support high-performance data analytics, time-series data processing, and low-latency solutions within a financial markets environment. The role requires strong hands-on experience in KDB+/q, capital markets data, real-time analytics, and large-scale data processing. The candidate should be able to design, develop, enhance, and support KDB-based platforms used for trade, market data, risk, pricing, surveillance, reporting, or analytics use cases. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain applications using KDB+/q. Build and optimize high-performance time-series databases and analytics platforms. Support real-time and historical market data processing. Develop data ingestion, transformation, and publishing frameworks. Work on low-latency data capture, storage, and query optimization. Perform performance tuning for q queries, tables, and data pipelines. Support trade, order, quote, pricing, risk, and market data analytics use cases. Analyze production issues, troubleshoot data breaks, and support incident resolution. Work with upstream and downstream systems to manage data flows and dependencies. Partner with trading, risk, operations, QA, and technology teams to deliver solutions. Contribute to automation, monitoring, and stability improvements. Participate in code reviews, testing, release activities, and production support. Required Skills Strong hands-on experience in KDB+/q programming. Good understanding of time-series data, tick data, and market data processing. Experience in capital markets / investment banking domain. Knowledge of real-time data ingestion, data storage, and query optimization. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting. Good understanding of data structures, performance tuning, and memory management. Ability to troubleshoot production issues and work under time-sensitive conditions. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Skills Experience in equities, FX, fixed income, rates, credit, commodities, or derivatives. Exposure to low-latency trading platforms or electronic trading systems. Experience with Java, Python, C++, or similar programming languages. Experience with Kafka, Solace, MQ, or other messaging technologies. Exposure to cloud platforms, DevOps, CI/CD, Git, Jenkins, or automation frameworks. Knowledge of market data vendors and trading workflows. Experience in monitoring, alerting, and production support automation. Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should have strong KDB+/q development experience, a good understanding of financial markets data, and the ability to build scalable, reliable, and high-performance data platforms. The role requires strong ownership, hands-on problem-solving, and the ability to work closely with business and technology stakeholders. Role Criticality KDB is a niche and specialized skill widely used in high-frequency, time-series, market data, and trading analytics platforms. Replacing experienced KDB resources at short notice can be challenging due to the limited talent pool and the depth of platform knowledge required.
