In this position, you will drive value-based solutions with designated Key Accounts in the public channel, advancing formulary inclusion, access breakthroughs, and procurement execution. You will operate at the intersection of science and systems, translating account insights into decisive, compliant actions that accelerate uptake of our portfolio. With a strong pipeline and multiple launches ahead, your ability to unlock access at scale will help redefine standards of care and deliver meaningful outcomes for patients. Accountabilities: • Account Leadership: Own end-to-end business delivery across assigned Government Institutes and institutional accounts, aligned to clear objectives and measurable outcomes. • Access and Formulary Progression: Secure listing and access by leading formulary inclusion initiatives, navigating institutional processes, and shaping preference for our brands. • Procurement and Conversion Excellence: Advance procurement progression and tender-related steps; ensure disciplined follow-up on orders, fulfilment, and liquidation to convert opportunities into results. • Stakeholder Strategy and Engagement: Map and engage decision-makers, procurement authorities, and clinical influencers; build trust-based relationships that unlock sustainable growth. • Insight-Driven Planning: Use policy, market, and competitor intelligence to craft targeted account plans that align customer needs with our commercial priorities and the public channel strategy. • Cross-Functional Orchestration: Coordinate Distribution, Finance, Medical, Sales, and other partners to remove barriers, resolve issues, and secure timely delivery of account priorities. • Risk Management and Compliance: Maintain rigorous adherence to internal policies and external regulations, ensuring transparent, compliant negotiations and execution. • Progression and Impact: Start by stabilizing and growing priority accounts; then scale winning models across your territory, elevating access and performance across the public channel Essential Skills/Experience: • For External Candidates Minimum Graduation / Bachelor’s degree in Science is preferred. Minimum 2 years’ experience as a KAM • Experience and Knowledge The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of AstraZeneca’s brand portfolio and related therapeutic areas, especially Oncology. Skills and Capabilities: • The role requires strong interpersonal, organizational, and stakeholder management skills. The successful candidate should demonstrate: Ability to communicate technical information effectively to diverse audiences at multiple levels within and outside the organization Strong planning and execution discipline • Good commercial understanding Negotiation and influencing capability Cross-functional collaboration Ability to interpret account needs and translate them into business actions High personal accountability and customer focus Comprehensive computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Behavioral Expectations • The KAM is expected to operate with integrity, transparency, and professionalism in all interactions. The role requires a strong commitment to collaboration, reliability, and delivery on commitments. The incumbent should be customer-centric, execution-focused, and able to balance strategic thinking with operational follow-through. • The KAM should actively seek to understand account needs, communicate openly, and contribute positively to team effectiveness. The role also requires adaptability, a learning mindset, and willingness to take on evolving business responsibilities within the Public Channel team. Compliance Expectations The KAM must ensure that all activities are conducted in line with AstraZeneca • policies, the Code of Conduct, and all applicable external regulations.
