Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated L1 NOC Engineer to provide first-level operational support for servers, applications, networks, and IT infrastructure. The role involves continuous monitoring, alert handling, first-level troubleshooting, incident logging, and escalation to L2/L3 teams to ensure service availability and uptime. Key Responsibilities • Monitor servers, applications, databases, and network health using monitoring tools. • Respond to alerts and incidents within SLA timelines. • Create and manage incident tickets in ServiceNow, Jira, or similar tools. • Perform initial troubleshooting and impact assessment. • Escalate unresolved issues to L2/L3 support teams. • Monitor Windows and Linux server availability. • Track CPU, memory, disk utilization, and service status. • Prepare shift handover reports and operational documentation. Required Skills Infrastructure & Application Monitoring • Monitor server, application, database, and network health using NOC monitoring tools. • Continuously track system availability, performance, and uptime. • Identify and acknowledge alerts generated by monitoring systems. • Perform initial troubleshooting and impact assessment. • Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate support teams. Incident Management • Create, update, and manage incident tickets in ticketing systems. • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and escalation matrices. • Ensure timely response to incidents as per SLA requirements. • Maintain detailed incident records and shift logs. • Participate in shift handovers and knowledge-sharing sessions. Server & Application Support • Monitor Windows and Linux server availability. • Validate status of application services and scheduled jobs. • Verify backup job completion and report failures. • Check utilization metrics such as CPU, Memory, Disk Space, and Network Connectivity. • Support routine operational checks and maintenance activities. Qualifications • Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or related field. • 3 years of experience in NOC, Technical Support, Service Desk, or Infrastructure Support roles.
