Position Description: We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate should be passionate about coding and developing scalable and high-performance applications. You will work closely with our front-end developers, designers, and other members of the team to deliver quality solutions that meet the needs of our clients. Your future duties and responsibilities Responsibilities: We are looking for a skilled Mainframe Developer with strong Banking domain knowledge to join our technology team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in COBOL-based mainframe applications, - Develop, maintain, and enhance mainframe applications in a banking environment. - Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. - Perform coding, testing, debugging, and implementation of COBOL programs. - Work with DB2 databases for queries, data processing, and optimization. - Develop and maintain batch processing using JCL and scheduling tools. - Troubleshoot production issues and ensure timely resolution. - Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and other technology teams. - Participate in code reviews, system integration testing, and release deployments. - Ensure adherence to banking regulatory and security standards **Primary Technical Skills** COBOL SAS DB2 JCL Sort utilities CA7 Scheduler Endevor SQL CICS Secondary Skills SDSF Toad File-Aid ISPF FTP JIRA Nice to Have Experience in Mainframe Modernization initiatives (replatforming, refactoring, API enablement, etc.) Knowledge of Mainframe XML processing Exposure to integration with distributed systems or cloud environments Must-Have Skills: Develop and maintain batch processing using JCL and scheduling tools. - Troubleshoot production issues and ensure timely resolution. - Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and other technology teams. - Participate in code reviews, system integration testing, and release deployments. - Ensure adherence to banking regulatory and security standards Good-to-Have Skills: - File-Aid ISPF FTP JIRA CGI is an equal opportunity employer.
