Job Description Key Responsibilities Strategic Vendor Management • Manage a portfolio of strategic vendors supporting business operations and client delivery. • Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships to support long-term business objectives. • Act as the primary point of contact for complex vendor discussions and escalations. • Drive vendor governance, performance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives. Commercial Negotiation • Lead commercial discussions, renewals, and negotiations with vendors. • Evaluate commercial proposals and recommend optimal approaches that balance cost, risk, operational needs, and business requirements. • Partner with stakeholders to develop negotiation strategies and commercial positions. • Ensure favorable commercial outcomes while maintaining sustainable vendor relationships. Contract & Commercial Governance • Review and assess vendor agreements, amendments, renewals, and commercial proposals. • Identify areas of contractual, operational, and commercial risk. • Partner with Legal, Procurement, Finance, Compliance, and business teams to support contract execution and governance activities. • Ensure contractual obligations, commitments, and deliverables are effectively managed. Business Partnership • Partner directly with senior business stakeholders to understand requirements and priorities. • Provide recommendations on vendor strategy, renewals, service models, and commercial options. • Support business decision-making through analysis, risk assessment, and market insights. • Act as a bridge between business teams and vendor organizations. Renewal & Portfolio Management • Drive vendor lifecycle activities including onboarding, renewals, amendments, and exit planning. • Establish governance processes that ensure timely decision-making and continuity of service. • Support vendor portfolio reviews and optimization initiatives. • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce risk, and optimize spend. Team Leadership & Capability Building • Provide day-to-day guidance to vendor management analysts and specialists. • Support development of operating procedures, knowledge sharing, and best practices. • Help establish scalable governance models and working rhythms across the team. Experience Required Mandatory • Relevant years of experience in vendor management, commercial negotiations, contract management, strategic sourcing, procurement, information services, or related business functions. • Demonstrated experience leading commercial discussions and negotiations with external vendors. • Experience supporting senior business stakeholders and executive-level decision-making. • Strong understanding of commercial contracts, vendor governance, and risk management. • Proven experience managing complex cross-functional stakeholder environments. Preferred • Experience supporting subscription, research, technology, professional services, information services, or data-related categories. • Experience working within consulting, advisory, financial services, technology, research, or professional services environments. • Experience managing global stakeholders and international vendor relationships.
