***Position Summary*** **Role** **:** Lead Corporate Legal **Reporting to** **:** Chief Legal Officer **Place of Posting** **:** Mumbai HO **Geographical Remit** **:** PAN India **No of reportees** **:** 1 or 2 ***Job Purpose*** The incumbent will be part of Legal function addressing and attending to corporate legal matters of the company primarily in areas of treasury, technology, key projects and legal risk management. The incumbent shall be attending to legal related requirements, issues and queries in view of the laws and regulations applicable to the company. ***Key Accountabilities*** - DPDP implementation and other assignments related to Information Technology, Information Security. - Legal work in fund raise exercise including debentures, ECBs, rights issue, consortium and bilateral borrowings. - Drafting, Vetting, Research, Legal and Regulatory Updates, Legal Risk Management. - Review and framing of process and policies of the company on matters related to legal requirements. - NBFC being a regulated entity, incumbent shall be required to deliver keeping in view extant regulations issued by RBI and IRDAI. - Timely and up-to-date management reporting. - The role demands active participation in key projects, time and cost sensitivity. - Meaningful interaction with firms, advocates and attendance at courts/tribunals where necessary. ***Key Responsibilities*** - Managing/Leading Team to deliver corporate legal KRA’s. - Detailed Research and Analysis on the matters of legal issues and advise the company in taking commercially practical and legally compliant actions. - Collaboration with cross functions and teams and equip the team with detailed understanding of the products and commercials. - Involve in Negotiations and Mitigate legal risk for the company by taking timely and prudent measures. - Periodic presentation to management and timely reporting of sensitive issues - Manage Drafting and Vetting of Agreements, Term Sheets, LSR, T&C of Financial products, polices and process within the agreed timelines. ***Required Experience*** - 5-7 years of experience in NBFC, Bank or a law firm (in BFSI specialization) will be relevant. (overall post qualification experience can be up to 10 years) ***Required Qualification*** - LLB - Additional certification in IT law, Securities Law or PG could be added advantage. ***Technical Competencies*** - Understanding of Lending products - Bank Borrowings & Debt Capital Market Documentation - Drafting & Vetting Legal Research - Good understanding of company law, contract law, RBI regulations - MS office / Word, Excel & Power Point, Other similar applications - Practical experience in strategic work will be an added advantage.
